Description:
A new version of the original Into The East. I bought a new mic a while ago and have recorded all the vocals again. My brother Dylan has also arranged a new beat. Enjoy.
Lyrics:
Into The East – April 14, 2005VERSE
On my own again
What a surprise
I’m alone again
I open my eyes
It’s begun again
I’m here again
In my room
Nice and warm
Made it here again
I’m home
Driving day and night
Singing a new song
CHORUS
Far away I am
Into the east
Down the number one
Soon I’ll be home
I will sing my song
And dream of you
Down the number one
Soon I’ll be home
VERSE
When I’m out
I only think about
Wanting to be back
Back home
BRIDGE
Mmmm
I’m home
Feels good
To be home

I'm the first to write a post! You know whats funny? I replayed this
song with the older version.. it certainly gave me a headache and its all
your fault! I'll give you a nice review and a clap for you and your
brother... I might just be the only one who does :) Cheers.. make
another song too...

I haven't heard the original (to compare), but it's not bad. I think that the main melody vocals could be louder, or at least have more presence some how. They can gest lost at times. The quality of the vocal is good though. Give your brother a handshake for the beat, well done. Overall... pretty good. Only the 2nd track I've heard from you so far, but I like what I've seen :D.
Ps... check out a couple of my pieces if you have the time ;)

In places the beat is drowning out your vocal. I think your vocals are
great and should always be the feature. I like the beats - just need to
mix them down a little bit.
Joshosh
with the comments about featuring vocals, but I think he mix is very close as is. Just boost your beautiful vocals slightly and you're set. How did you do in that contest we all voted on by the way? Hopefully you won! Your voice is certainly good enough to.

Hey I totally agree with the beat being too loud. I never would have noticed that without the help from this site. Awesome.
And yes.... I won!
Yeah I'm off to Toronto for some extreme exposure! I'm going to the Canadian music industry dinner where there will be big artists, CEOs, producers, everyone! This is nuts. I have been praticing already. I have less than 5 weeks to be perfect :P Oh yeah forgot to mention I will be performing during Canadian Music Week! Yup and competing for the National prize which is $10,000, 30 hours of studio time, $2500 marketing package, and pretty much everything I need for a professional recording studio. Like all the mixing boards, mics, speakers, everything! Wish me luck!
Thanks for the comment :)

I will Wish U luck....very nice voice.

I wish you all the luck in the world. When you get signed, think of us little people if you need some backup singers...

I like the style and feel of this. I think if the production quality was better
that this song would sound better several times over. (not your voice, nor
the music, just the way it is mixed) There are some small points where
this goes dissonant too. Great voice though.

..And in the begining, the guitar goes faster than your voice, so it makes it feel
rushed.
Don't get me wrong, I really like this but I am just finding a few areas of
improvement too.
The song is ok but its the vocals that make it interesting. Ive got a couple of songs that are out of my range but sound right for you. I will upload them in about a week or two when I have enough points. Let me know if you are interested in collaboration.

I think if you worked with a professional who could capture your vocals
and arrange the music to cooincide, you'd be amazing. You have LOADS
of talent.
I agree with the other posts that your voice could be a little more
prominent in the mix. Nice job with all the back up harmonies. If all the
back up was Garage band its impressive.

Really top quality sweet vocal.
You have a flair for melody after my own heart.
Again like the way you lay down those super sweet melodies with your terrifif soft, young, precious vocalizations!
Thanks for sharing
Like those placements of those counter vocals, again that shows YOUR fine ability to place notes were they count. Keep developing that special gift you have!
