Description:
The most electronic stuff I have put on a song yet. Recorded a long time ago but never sure if I should post.
Lyrics:
Don't tell me any tales of your sorrow
Don't tell me no tales of your woe
I just want a happy ending to this scene before I go
Love, we can have love
Love it's the light that shines
And the darkness never stays very long, very long
So many roles you can play
While waiting for the curtain to fall
You cast yourself as an actor, searching for the crystal ball
Oh why, why can't you see
You've just got to let it be
And find your peace when it comes, when it comes
The applause is there for the dancer
Who can leap way beyond the moon
She weaves a crazy pattern and sings a lovely tune
Encore, encore they cry . . you still have so much to do
You have to rewrite the script, and find out what is true

electronic stuff is good &mdash 01/26/06 - 01:21:57 AM
I think you did a very good job with this one. I like the
"electronic stuff" you threw in here. Just has a nice and sad feel to it.
The vocals sound very good and have the right amount of feel to
convey your lyrics. Good one.

Thanks Johnny, glad you liked it. Maybe I will throw some more electornic
stuff on in the future but I am just an awful keyboard player so it is time
consuming to do. [ Reply to This ]

I think this song lacks a "happy ending" ...but then again, I was never into the sappy happy endings...so, I say "encore, encore...you still have so much to do/You have to rewrite the script, and find out what is true," if the truth can actually be written or scripted...life is a masquerade...interesting lyrics (the song has a few contradictions that require further analysis, but I will hold my applause and wait for the resolution at the end of the play)... for some reason, I am reminded of 2 of my fav songs by Dylan: Simple Twist of Fate & Things Have Changed...hey, if you have the stage to yourself, don't be shy and do make a big SCENE...to remain unseen would just be too obscene...ok, I am ready to hear the theatrical soliloquy [ Reply to This ]

Hey there Fang Fang,
I love those two Dylan songs also. When he is on, he is the greatest. Perhaps
lyrically there is a little of "When I Paint My Masterpiece" in there also which is
another Dylan song. I am thinking very highly tonight having had my
Thursday jam session with a couple of friends. It just occurred to me that
this song uses art as a metaphor for life whereas usually it is some part of life
that is used as a metaphor in the service of art. Wheel within the wheel again.
Thanks for listening. [ Reply to This ]
Oh! &mdash 01/26/06 - 09:19:48 AM
Listened once now, sounds great. I got to have listen with headphones as well as i comment. I think all the electronic addings still are very gentle, small touches that lifts the song further up. I must also say that you remind me a lot of Jim morrison/the doors, both in style of music and the Vocals! Your guitarplaying is wonderful on this, really likes this kind of playing! The solopart is wonderful, and i think that the strings compliment the solo very well! Your voice is so wonderful and filled with great feeling, it sounds like you really mean what you are singing. Now im on the third listen and i know that this will be a download, along with lots of your other stuff! Its just a great song! I have become a huge fan of your work, and are also turning a lot of my friends to Bronco fans :). [ Reply to This ]

I am overwhelmed Magnus! I can't thank you enough for saying such great
things about my music. As you know, it is easy to doubt yourself and get
down so feedback like this really is wonderful. If you want me to do anymore
guitar for your stuff just let me know. [ Reply to This ]
Love the acoustic sound... &mdash 01/26/06 - 04:45:30 PM
...not the electric. The acoustic guitar sounds great and the strings
and bongos are the perfect accompaniment. The other sound is not
working for me at all. I'd lose that and tighten up the timing a bit and
you'll have a great simple acoustic piece. Nice work. [ Reply to This ]

Interesting comments, I appreciate you taking the time to listen and give your
opinion. On a remix I think I would lose the sound you refer to or at least mix
it down some. And yes there was one place where I forgot the lyric
momentarily and stumbled coming in a little late. I'm a fan of leaving in a few
mistakes now and then if they aren't overwhelming. Somehow makes the
music more human and real to me. [ Reply to This ]
