As far as song writing and performance goes, this is a really good track, I love the interplay between your vocals, and they are leveled quite well. I'm not a fan of loops, but this wasn't overkill; it worked well. What I didn't like was the effect on your main vocal track. You've got a great voice, but the effect (or perhaps mic placement?) masked the presence of your voice. All in all, I think this was a really good track and I'm glad I listened to it. yeah... it's funny... i was experimenting a lot with the mic on this song. i was
cupping my hands around my mouth for about half of the recording, but didn't
get the effect i was looking for... i never re-recorded the vocals because i
thought I'd be replacing the loops with all original material....
i appreciate the input... i think i will use a mix of loops and original material,
and do some vocal retakes. i'll let you know if I repost :)

You have a very nice voice. Overall 8! I did feel at times that the loops
stoodout as being loops but you put them to good use! Good stuff! Oh
-get yourself a good mike -it'll make your voice sound like gold!

Thanks a ton for the vote! I'm so grateful for this site... I have been needing
actual criticism and imput from other musicians for a while now... what a relief.

I will work on this piece and re-post when I have new stuff. Definitely upgrading
my mic.

This is very nice. There were hints of Annie Lennox/Eurhythmics in the
singing/harmonies/music.. you REALLY need a good mic setup though.
The vox were a little muffled, would sound a lot clearer with a good
microphone setup. I like the texture of your voice, and your choice of
melody/harmony is fresh and great to listen to.

thanks... lol (annie) ...from all the feedback I have gotten...i see that i need to
bust out a mic investment. i've heard great things about the snowball... looking
into
it. I have lots of pro experience with excellent mics... but not my own. Used to
date a sound engineer, and always had access to great stuff... Now I'm really just
interested in finding the right setup for myself, so I don't have to rely on
someone else for my sound.

an absolutely FABULOUS VOICE ... probably one of the best ones I have heard on MacJams ..... I think that vocal effect you are looking for ... is .... REVERB ! Ha ... I say this only because I am often accused of overusing the Reverb and Echo Effect ... I never thought about cupping my hands over my mouth .... I like your vocal stylings as well ... very nicely done in my books ... look forward to hearing more from you .
