Description:
About love. Basicly the tune means that it feels much better to go with love than the other way.

Lyrics:
LOVE

Lead

Love can make you do many things
Can make you a pauper, make you a king.
Ignore it and you could lose a wife.
Give you nothing but heartache and stife

Could give some riches and plenty of gold.
If it goes, can make a young man old.
Can bring down heaven, heaven above!
Fill a home of love!

Lead

Chorus

Take it away, and it can make you hate.
Even make misery your eternal fate.
With out love what ya gonna do?
Can make you mighty blue, mighty blue, mighty blue, mighty blue, mighty blue

Repeat

Hearty and Soulful &mdash 01/26/06 - 09:47:13 AM
Fine, fine new Blues. Original and Fresh sound.

Fabulous finger and bottleneck guitar. Nice Lyric with a Gutsy and
Authentic Presentation.

Great piece.

[Say, do you know who I can make a deal with so that I can play like
that in my Next life?]

Best regards,
rtc

Love is &mdash 01/26/06 - 12:03:37 PM
For sure, without love we've got nothing. Great lyrics and playing. This is
the first time I've heard you sing. You're pretty good! I hope belting out
those high notes didn't strain your back.

God bless,

Rick

Like your singing &mdash 01/26/06 - 12:36:00 PM
I like your singing a lot, think you have a very nice voice! And then with
your gift to create such a great backup music, that is a strong
combination! Should be a winning concept!

I expecially like the mature touch of your voice. I can hear that this is a
man who has some life experience.

I think that generally there are too few mature voices in the music. Just
think about how different it sounds, when a mature person sings about
love, compared to when we sang "all you need is love" as youngsters.
For the mature it is no simple fix, not a call or command, it is one of
lifes most difficult things, a thing that require penitence and sacrifiece,
the will to set needs of other before the own.

So that was a few reasons I like this song a lot! Hope to hear more!
Thank you Bill!

Very nice... &mdash 01/26/06 - 03:12:58 PM
...to hear your voice - fun to be able to put a face to the music and a
voice to the face :)
You sound pretty good in this - like Cori Ander said, there's a lot of
maturity in your voice; it really fits both the style and content of this song.

Very enjoyable!

true love &mdash 01/26/06 - 03:56:33 PM
.. is what you show in your music.

Love is the strongest feeling that makes us even start thinking about what to do next. Why do you pick up that guitar and play, why do we spend so much time at macjams...

There has of course to be an opposite feeling that is equally strong...
Why do we tend to a job that is not what we love to do, why do we make an obligations towards someone, why do we get a nice car, a big house and so on........... it's FEAR - just think about it...

Ooooh I'm in the philosophical mood tonight;)

Lets keep doing what we love:)

Great to hear you sing Bill. Nice voice. Lets hear more of it!

Very insightful thoddi! True, tile can be a bit mind numbing sometimes and
guitar for me helps me feel like my fingers are getting more of an education :)

Nice voice Bill! &mdash 01/27/06 - 10:09:14 PM
So why haven't you sung on any other of the songs I've heard here?
Very tasty slide playing and picking as usual - really nice to hear you
step outside your comfort zone a little (I'm guessing here) and sing. A
man of many talents obviously! As usual, great post Bill - keep em
coming.

thoughts from the bull... &mdash 01/29/06 - 04:27:00 PM
everything that needs to be said has been said. except this:

it's a rule in the bullpen, here, that when a new Tiler song is released,
download it first then listen to it.

you're a fine teacher and i thank you for that, Bill. like James Bouchard,
i'm always learning something from you.

great music.

Great lyrics here Bill and your vocal presentation was right on!! Very
nice! Slide of course was crisp, mourning, urgent, keening and
eloquent!
