Description
Written by Dayna Wills (Bob Wills' niece) and myself, sung by the inimitable K. J. Cortell, this is a tune about waiting. Waiting for a call, visit, postcard, letter, hell something from that special someone.

Lyrics
Midnight. You wake up all alone, lyin' in the dark, listenin' for the phone
Hopin' he'll call and say "Babe, I'm on my way." But it's
Midnight and there's not a single sound. Just the clickin' of the clock as the hands roll 'round
You think of hands you used to hold who's touch has since grown cold and it's midnight.
Minight. You wonder yeah you do, where it all went wrong and who's replacin' you.
Midnight. You're lyin' there awake, wonderin' how much you poor heart can take.
It's midnight. You start pushin' for the dawn
Even knowing when the sun comes up. he'll be just as gone.
It's a waste of good moonlight when your lover's not in sight and it's midnight.

And it all sounds like real instruments -- not a virtual GB instrument to
be heard! All your players sound great. This must have been done by
pros in a "real" studio, right?
The guitarist (and the guitar tone) sounds like Hall and Oates' version
of "Jingle Bell Rock" which was a great version of that song.
The singer is very pro.
The song sounds like it came to the songwriter so naturally, it just
wrote itself. Very enjoyable.
