This sounds like &mdash 02/01/06 - 07:14:52 PM
the demo song that comes with a Casio organ, which isn't to say that it's bad - I have very fond memories of listening to those demo songs! This has a fun little mood going for it - the guitar has nice tone and a very nice and sparkly vibe, cool licks! The lead synth part, in comparison, just doesn't match the nature of the guitar - it also seems to be a little off-rhythm at times. As the soloing is really the focal point in this, it's forgivable that the drums, bass and horn-ish off-beats don't really change, but it would certainly punch things up a big, as would a chord change or two. As it stands though, it does really conjure up images of sitting on a dock or in a boat and drinking beer, casting out and reeling in on a sunny day. That lead synth line would be killer as a harmonica part!
