Description:
I fall in love too easily.

Lyrics:
Last night was a dream
(in which)
I was able to heal her
with kinder emotions.
Heart not broken, but bad.
To reality I wake every day.

Last night was a dream
(in which)
I fear changing anything,
lest she be taken away.
Paralyzed by certainty.

Stay the same, stay the same.

Last night was a dream
(in which)
I forgot to ask,
“Why do you like me?”
Forgot to say,
“Give me your pain!”

Last night was a dream
(in which)
I wrapped her body in mine.
(In which)
I coveted her tears.
(In which)
We shared a heart.
(In which)
I cured her.
(In which)
She cured me!

(And)

And together there was nothing
left to repair.

Thanks. I'm a hack. One note.

I still like the result. Glad you liked it as well.

haunting dream (in which) &mdash 02/01/06 - 03:04:54 PM
this is pretty creepy!

i must admit i wasn't really listening to the words the first time - i was busy looking at your breasts on your website. but the artsiness (sorry, can't think of a better term) of the two meshed well!

very nice words, though - haunting with the sounds. very dreamlike.

Sadly, wasn't written to be creepy, but I will give you that. I wrote it about a
woman I was dating. She's damaged and we both knew it, but I thought I could
be good for her. Wrote this when I'd just gotten to know her, recorded it a
month after we quite seeing each other.

She did get to see me perform it though.

Oh, and no one ever said I had arty breasts before.

maybe i meant dark more than creepy.

and maybe i meant that your website is more arty than your breasts.

either way - i meant it in a good way!

Thanks. I just try to write and make stuff I like to listen to and hope others do as
well. Advice I got from Steven Brust and I think he probably kyped it from
someone else.

The background music sets a perfect tone for your voice. The vocal
mixing is very powerful...harmonic in a way.

Thanks. I always like to have something. I am hiss phobic, which I had minimal
on here anyway, but decided to do one note, and liked it that way.

This was the first time I actually used my two mics to effect. I think I sound like
Frank the Donnie Darko Rabbit when played on a real system (anything with
some bass).

Stirring words, compelling and eerie production - along the lines of the great Kim Nordine - excellent job!

It is a life changing moment. Freedom and constraint. Infinite point.

Well blended.

Thanks for sharing this.

Thanks for the comment.

I seldom consider my stuff "deep." Glad you liked it.

Very nice vocal work! &mdash 02/04/06 - 08:57:55 AM
You really have a great reading on this piece.
Your voice is perfectly set to the words, and the echoes are a great effect.

There is a haunting sense about this...a little creepy, as some have said,
but that's not necessarily bad when you are connecting this with loss,
bitterness, folly...as your keywords state.

Very well done!

Very nice vocal work! &mdash 02/04/06 - 09:03:47 AM
Thanks.

Was actually written as a love poem. Can be read with optimism as well. With a
"We'll get there," aspect. I forgot to ask why you like me, but that's ok, I'll find
out eventually. That sort of thing.

Oh well, I moved on.

Many facets &mdash 02/06/06 - 08:12:07 PM
I can hear the hearache and the hopefulness, the darkness and the light.
Very stirring. Enjoyed it.

And on a strange note, Mystified's "In Echo of Emptiness" finished
downloading and started playing quite near the end (around 'We shared a
heart), and it fit in really well both as a sonic contrast to your voice and in
spirit. Your should seriously see about doing a collab with your incredible
voice and words and Mysti's ethereal oohs and aahs.

Yeah, she's always been amazing to me. I have never refused a collab, but never
initiated one either. I did two without permission (refused in one case, embraced
in the other), but I am just not good at asking. gudkarma did one of my pieces
as well, but it was all him (my words only).

Guess collabs have to do with planning.

I just sit in front of the mic of keyboard and do what I do. Would love input from
others. All my files are available in .band. I'll send anything to anyone. But you;re
right, maybe it's time I step out and start seeking dance partners.

i like the way you do the vocals, it sounds very dark and mysterious. ahh the dream that i have every night for about the last 4 months, nicely done especially for spoken word.

Especially for spoken word? Thems fightin' words.

I know what you mean though. It is harder to do well and to find people who dig
it. I do it for me though, and if others like it as well, then great.

Thanks. This was one of the first poems I did with a two mic set up. Learning
levels and effects and stereo and the whole world that opens up.

I dig your stuff as well.
