Description
Well...a true mark of a musician. This song is how I broke up with my girlfriend. I didn't know how to put it, so I put it to music and the words just came.

I'm not finished yet, though, but I need suggestions on the middle section. I don't have a great synthesizer, so if anyone wants to put a musical bridge to it, do it and send me a proof and you'll get credit for the assisstance. Thanks

Lyrics
(V1.) The feelings are still there
But it's time we parted ways,
Our lives are going different places,
It's time to say farewell,

(V2.) The pain it breaks my heart,
To tell you these words,
I'm feeling broken down,
But It's time to say goodbye,

(CH) And you know that we've had good times,
And you know that we are friends,
And you know that we are different,
And it's time to say goodbye,

And you wanted to never part,
And I wish that that were true,
Please don't ask me why,
But It's time to say goodbye,

(BR) Please believe that I will always hold you close in my heart,
Only believe that we would be unhappy,
So it's time to say Goodbye (repeat)

(CHORUS)

(End) It's time to say Goodbye (4x)

Sorry
Sorry about your breakup, that's always hard.

Lots of sadness in this track. That comes across just reading the lyrics.
Sometimes just getting down on paper (or on the computer) can be a
healing balm.

Guitar work is good. And you have a very good voice.

Sorry, I'm not able to contribute anything for your bridge.

I like the ending, when the instruments mostly drop out, and it's your
lonely voice that's left. Fits the song very well.

Sorry
I thank you for your kind comments, John. It was hard, but I'm moving on in life. I have a new song coming soon which is really intense and upbeat. I don't have lyrics yet, so I haven't posted the music yet. OH, AND I got a real bass, so now I don't have to play the keyboard to get a bassline in my songs. Thanks about the voice, I'm real self-conscious about it and haven't figured out how to mix the vocals well yet. I also will remove the second version of this song and replace it with a remix and final cut. I got some things sounding better.

Again, Thanks for being a friend John Stebbe

I have a musical soul. Music moves me in deep ways and I love playing with sound. That is why, for writing music, I love techno and similar genres. I listen to just about everything, but when it comes down to stimulating my creative nature, the piano... [see more]
