Description:
This is what I tried to send to MissChaos for months with no avail. I haven't changed anything except for the very begining and end since then. I got the strings to sound almost perfect with my secret weapon in a box from CJ, but then it took away the feel of the original song, so I left kind of an in-between sound.

Miss C sent me the first minute or so in October I think. Then I improvised off of that, introducing original melodies and then the back to original again. So this starts the same as Miss C's obviously, but then leads into a completely different feel.

You can't really hear it, but 42 instruments are in this one. Split it up into two projects and one master project to leave the computer happy.

Thanks to MissChaos for the opportunity to Collab.

*sigh* Can I just stay in this song? Huh, please? Sounds like a nice place
to live. You did such an excellent job. Haunting.

Your poor iMac. :) You need to retire it soon and get something a little
more powerful. ;)

Thank you CJ, you can live where ever you wish. You may find things to be a
little old after awhile though.

My iMac is a fighter, and (he/she) will make it through some more times I think.

Ah &mdash 02/01/06 - 11:14:43 AM
peaceful. I was reminded of the rapidly moving cloud shadows racing across the grassy field at French Hill. Very lovely.

Ben, I'm glad you posted your mix of this. It needed to be heard. You
really did a beautiful and crafty job on this. You've got a flair about
your music that I knew would enhance that little song sketch I sent you
WAY back when. ;) I love the string plucks and the subtle texture you
added to this mix. You heard those piano arpeggios in your head when
I was still frustrated over where to take this darn song. Thank you for
helping me finish this. I know I changed the direction from this mix,
but only because I was in two different "places": one at song
conception and another during the finishing stage. I think I'm a victim
of my sometimes overly emotional being. You heard the major key
emotion and took the velocity up a notch, but I just love how you
change back to the minor. It's still my favorite part of your rendition.
You've got music in your soul and when it reveals itself, it does so with
such an intensity. I'm really glad you gave this a chance. Thanks again
for all of your insight and care that you put into this. Shall we try
another perhaps? (after I learn Logic properly? ;)

Thanks, Miss C, I wish I could write as much about you, but know I mean the
same. Your emotional talent is amazing.

Of Course I would love to do anything again, and I could just stick with
garageband :).

your ability to bliss out on a simple, emotive statement wickedly shines.
interesting to hear it applied to a ms chaos track.
