Description:
Song about finding your own peace in a busy world. This version done by my old band The Puddle Jumpers.
Lyrics:
Monday morning, caught in traffic. Lines ahead of me. Lines in the rear view. There was a boy in a boat, line in the water shining in the sun.
His back toward us. No bumper to bumper in his morning.
Just light and water and waiting...
He found an oasis, a place to pause.
He found his spot in the sun without any cars.
Life can get you down if you don't take the time to find...an oasis.
Monday, mid-day on the sidewalk, front to back, soulder to shoulder,
There was a girl leaning against a green tree on a restless street.
Her eyes were closed to the frantic panic of lunchtime. Just leaves and shadow and listening...
She found an oasis, a place to pause.
She found her spot in the shade without any noise.
Life can get you down if you don't take the time to find...an oasis
Monday night, TV blaring. Dirty dishes, dirty laundry.
I stop by the window, watch a high bird soaring on the evening breeze.
My back is turned to the din and duty of my life. Just cool and blue and sailing
I found an oasis, a place to pause.
I found my spot in the silence to fantasize.
Life can get you down if you don't take the time to find...an oasis
Take the time to find an oasis.
Find the time to take the time to find an oasis.

Thanx D ~ Vera wrote this as well from a woman's point of view and it could
use a rewrite.

Really nice tune all around. Performed and produced very skilfully. You
guys sound tight. I hear touches of progressive mixed with a little
country. I can't thik of anything critical to point out. I enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks ~ The Puddle Jumpers were labeled as "Progressive Folk" so your
description is apt.

I bet you were a Rush fan.
Nice track.

I liked Rush but The Puddle Jumers were real fans. Our old bandmate
drummer is now in a Rush tribute band. He loves Neil P.

Very cool. Great all around, except I would boost the guitar (right) in the
vamp section, give it more edge. Another top notch track. Especially nice
use of mandolin and layered vocals (nicely balanced).
Very lovely work here, a real Progressive Folk band setting. Wonderful choice of instruments and everything is well performed. I love this track!
