Description
It's a riff on the Hawaiian War Chant from the 1930's. Just silly, but fun! I want to do a remix of this eventually. And I don't like the guy, I just like the musical nature of his name.

funny
This is a riot. It's silly to the extreme but a lot of fun. While the low-fi
version here still does the job I think a better recording/mix would be
nice. As always, great harmonies. Hehe. His name does roll off the
tongue quite musically.

Side note: It looks like you forgot to put commas between the key words
so it comes of as one long keyword.

Ha!
Recording difficulties aside, I love the tune. Quirky and fun. Not exactly
the song about SM that you'd expect. Good harmonies. And the perfect
length.

Good on ya.

Ha!
Just to clarify, when i say recording difficulties, I'm not implying you failed
miserably on what should be an easy task, but rather that I have tried a capella
recordings and they are DAMN TOUGH to get all the levels right. So, great
effort!

Ha!
Fair enough. Conversely, I only spent 10 minutes on this thing. Next time, I do it
for real! I wanted the right percussion loop for accompaniment. I think i'll also
add some of the goofy sound effects now in GB3, a la Spike Jones. Gotta love
that guy!

Hahahahaha!!!
This is great! I love these 'departures' into the silly, and the way you've
used your voice here is wonderful!

When you started singing, I thought of my grandparents' 'ancient'
Vittrola--this could have been one of the records in the collection!!
There were comic routines and songs/instrumentals, the latter of which
most had some sort of Hawaiian influence.

So, I think this song is brilliant!
Thanks for posting here :)

Wacky Wackatians!
Of course, the only thing that comes to my mind is Spike Jones' version of
this, which yours is somewhat similar to (uh, I heard it on my *parents'*
LP of Spike Jones of course, blush). And the use of Milosevic's name as a
lilting lyric was hilarious! Very funny little piece... Yugo, Cantor!

LOL!
This is extremely funny! It needs to be made into an animated short, oh my gosh! Very brilliant - my only nit is the production - the lead vocal is sort of harshly EQed compared to the warm backing vocals, which sound really super-good. And that's it. Short, sweet and supremely joyful!

Heheh
I'd recognize that Spike Jones anywhere... but I never would have thought to sing Milosevic's name to it. Talk about quirky funnery! Some of that gargling-style singing would also mix in nicely, and wouldn't a slide whistle be appropriate somewhere? Thanks for amusing my Sunday.

Too funny!
I'm listening to that one again! One of the more original tunes I've heard around here, such a simple concept, yet executed so brilliantly. The highlight is your matter-of-fact singing, intoning the name of the very recently deceased former Serbian president.

This post is dedicated to Slobodan Milosevic, born August 20 1941, died March 11 2006.

fun
Much of the joy coming from listening to this delightful little ditty is the spontineity of its sound. We know it was whipped out in 10 minutes, and therefore has production issues, but that's a big part of the fun. It has verve! You capture a moment of mental craziness, combining the slavic syllables of a ruthless leader's name with a 1930s singsong. I don't think you can go back into the studio and redo this and hang on to that flash of bizarrity that makes it so original.

That doesn't mean you can't turn it into something else that is interesting - just that the end result would be different.

I'm thinking you should move on to Butros Butros-Ghali : >
