excellent &mdash 02/04/06 - 11:03:54 PM
Excellent sonic tapestry Tom. I just submitted WATERWORLD this
afternoon, also a lament (re the condition of the earth's oceans). But this
blows it away. And yes, wonderful vocal by Mystified.

Fit for &mdash 02/04/06 - 11:19:37 PM
an IMAX movie of the rainforest. Those world music instruments and Mysti's vocals really give this a cool exotic feel. Very evocative.

Very atmospheric and strangely elven.
LOL - Mystified is JP6 - that's rich. That could be the basis for a comedy
track .... hmmm.

JP6 ? &mdash 02/05/06 - 07:32:09 AM
Ok, Mungo....I'll be looking for that one.
Would you need some ambient vocals for that? :P

Imagine a Jam Pack where each "instrument" is a different MacJammer's voice.

Ars longa, vita brevis.

Icing on the cake &mdash 02/05/06 - 06:39:10 AM
Tom, this last movement was the icing on the cake of the "A New
Unknown" series. But Cat's vocals were the icing on the cake of this
movement. Beautifully done you two!

God bless,

Rick

you speak to my heart... &mdash 02/05/06 - 08:35:54 AM
Beautiful work... that very much bring to us the reality. Mother Earth
soothed by rainshower on her face..... eases some of her pain, blends with
her tears. Now is the time we all can do whatever we can to save her
from a fate she does not deserve..... thankyou for this impecable and
georgeous lament.... ; LightBird

This has enough of "world"... &mdash 02/05/06 - 01:04:35 PM
...without getting that arty, "hey look I'm doing world music" feel...

Mystified's recent vocal offerings are continually stretching her abilities
into new areas, and they're just way looser than when I first heard her
singing... which was not so long ago... Some MacJammers just really
expand their reach in the MacJams/GB world...

I enjoy the underpinning bass notes here, especially in the light piano
sections... There's a lot of taste and subtlety in here, a restraint that
still feels full...

I don't get how you managed to get the thunder to crack just as you
began and finished this performance...

Interesting interweaving of voices and instruments &mdash 02/05/06 - 03:37:50 PM
Your signature mallet percussion are here along with a lot of other
interesting timbres and sounds. Bravo!

very earthy indeed &mdash 02/05/06 - 04:19:37 PM
The low long-reverb-plucked bass percussion, along with the flute &
woodwind, gave a real rich loamy drippy rainforest feel, Myst's voice was
perfect in here too. Love it! The synthesized (or over-processed nasaly)
voice seemed slightly out of place with the unnatural-sounding jumps
between notes though.

Drakonis

A fine, sophisticated piece. I listened twice.
