I remember the day Sam died. It was the first day that I knew
about him. I found out through my web browser, of course,
and couldn't help but stare at the pictures, and play the
video snippets again, marvelling at how perfectly (PERFECTLY!)
ugly that dog was.

I couldn't help but wonder how ugliness, taken to such extremes,
somehow cannot help but be beautiful. Once that thought occurred
to me, though, I couldn't help but to ascribe a human reaction to
that thought...one that Sam might have: "get lost! how dare you
think of me as beautiful. I'm snarling and coughing in your
general direction..."

I know my comment doesn't have much to do with your song,
other than it's about Sam.

You're good.

There were a few mic pops in a few places, but this is a good song. Did I detect a slight Irish lilt to your vocals when you sang the phrase "sure did stare"?

I know when a song is going to be good, and this was good from the first notes.

I loved the singing, lyrics and the background keyboard riffs.
