Description
A song about someone who can't seem to find that special someone. Who, no matter what they try, always seems to end up with the wrong person and another failed relationship.

My first song on here for aaaaaaages due to a forced absence (loads of personal issues in the alst year or so). Also my first dabble with electric lead - still a lot of work to do on that front but we've all got to start somewhere! Hope you like it.

Lyrics
Won't it be funny when she's not around? When your empty home and it's silent sound
Eases into your brain and takes you away from yourself.
When all that you need is her help, is her help.

Won't it be strange when you turn around, to find your life smashed to the ground.
As the dust goes up and the walls come tumbling down.
And you wait at the side to be found, to be found.

And any way you try to look at it now you can see that the way is long and you're on your own.
And pretty soon you're gonna realise that the highs must be high 'cos the lows will be low.
Maybe next time when you come around looking for a field full of green where you can grow
you won't find the field is full of gravestones with your plots laid out there row upon row.
It feels a lot like letting go...

Don't you find it funny now she's not around? Don't you wanna watch the seasons coming round?
With the words you said and the space she's left in your bed.
Walking with you every step that you tread, that you tread.

Lose yourself inside, any bottle you can find.
Try not to lose your mind, we're all another step closer to the end of our lives.
Feels a lot like letting go...
You go the only way you know...
Your plots laid out row upon row.

Excellent
My style of music.
Song sounds great.
Love the harmonies in the background vocals.
like the melody of the song and the lead guitar is a nice sound that fits & adds to the song nicely.

Overall excellent song I think it would even sound better with some fattening up maybe some bass.

Good Job!

i have all your macjams.
Hey thanks a lot - didn't expect to be missed! Nice to be back. Do have a couple
of new songs but not had a chance to do much recording lately, hence the big
break. Been all kinds of crazy things going on.

Thanks a lot for your kind words. I can go away now with a nice warm fuzzy
feeling!

moving
This song moved me. Your voice is so powerfully emotional, and your
harmonies sound absolutely fantastic. I love the gradual evolution of
the song from soft bittersweet loss towards the gradual breakdown to
hard controlled anger (accompanied by the nice electric lead and layers
of harmony). I think the song is flawlessly performed except one short
and fairly minor rhythm issue at the second "Don't you find it funny
now she's not around." Maybe the guitars are a little off-synch? This
is a very minor criticism as this song is wonderful. I'm definitely
downloading it.

Wow!
This is my first visit to Macjams, and this is the first song I've listened to.
Your voice is so beautiful, and this song is powerful! I don't hink it needs
anything else. Sometimes we go overboard and overproduce material
because it's fun? Of course it's fun, but what you have going for you is
beautiful music, an excellent, evocative voice, and something to say.
Don't hide that behind anything else. It's all there.

Great.
Don't really have anything constructive to add here...just wish I could get my stuff across as well as you do (would help if I could play and sing as well as you, I suppose). Look forward to more!
