Description:
Instrumental MIDI - my speciality.

I get an amazing amount of work done in my head and in my car. This song took me a couple of hours to compose in Easy Beat (no loops) after going over in my mind for a week or so.

I'm not a guitarist so thankfully I'm excused from actually having to play the melody lead. Although I went for a happy feel, I think I still managed to make it sound a bit sad. That's me I guess.

Inspired by my children...what else is new?

What a combination! &mdash 02/07/06 - 02:45:16 PM
Okay, now please take this as a compliment, but this is like a cross between "Sesame Street" and the "Top Gun Anthem" - I can totally picture this as the underscore as Big Bird and a child buddy go walking off with fishing poles in hand, silhoutted by the setting sun - the melody is so happy-go-lucky, but also wistful, like a bittersweet goodbye, which I guess is the effect you were going for. The instrumentation really reminds me of "Top Gun Anthem" - synths and that tone of guitar (so that synth guitar works, you did a great job with that), though the overall tempo is a little different in feel. TGA is one of my favorite pieces of all times - and this piece favorable compares to that wild and beautiful piece. Lots of textures, love the big rumbling bass, it's got a BIG feel to it, while still maintaining a small scale through the lightness of the melody. Wonderful job, nice fade at the end - this piece made me feel really good at the end of a long day!

I can see why so many jammers have stopped to listen. Excellent work on
all the parts.
