Description:
Wrote this one more than a few years ago. My subject matter had been til then almost entirely cultural and political. I had been a radio announcing for years and doing alot of tongue-n-cheek in my on air persona, but had not explored that side of myself poetically. This is a celebration of big beautiful women, thick soul-full sistren. Wrote it in one day. It literally flowed through me. A shock to my system, so much so that I would write a few lines then get up and run round the house celebrating the moment. The muse had her way with me that day. Afterwards I read it to a girl friend over the phone while she was at work. She responded with mouth open silence. I heard her swallow. She told me not to call her at work and read her this type of s#@t ever again. She's funny. Musically, we just made a loop and I recited to it. I'm open for suggestions. Want to include this one on my next cd. I checked no explicit content, because the language is tame but the connotations are quite erotic. Hope you'll enjoy it anyway. |
