Description
More mellow tune again with the Motif, Wolgfgang, and some bass and drum loops. Reminded me of flyng in space, hense the title.

Groovy trip
Nice mellow, rolling beat to solo over. Great guitar playing as usual. It would be cool to hear a few changes in the beat and the drums, and some accents here and there. You've got the soaring through space thing down nicely.

I agree with you on the changes in the beat. I am still a rookie at the drums portion of the songs so most of my stuff has the same loop throughout at this point. I really want to get better at that part of the process. I saw on one of your songs you use something called Drums on Demand. Is that something that may help me out without having to program every beat?

Groovy trip
Yes, Drums on Demand is really cool; it's just a giant collection of drum loops, nicely organized. I've used them on just about every song I've made since I got them last July. I have DoD volumes 1 and 2, and they don't cost too much. I bet you would get some great use out of them.

Groovy trip
Indeed it is. If you click the "Articles" link at the top of the page, there's a review of Drums on Demand in there that you might find interesting.

I started playing guitar in the 9th grade thanks to Eddie VanHalen. I saw him play on MTV and had to learn how so I bought an old Strat knock off, painted it black with yellow stripes, stopped doing homework, and learned to play by ear and by watchi... [see more]
