Description

My newest song, this was originally going to be a huge musical number, but wound up becoming an acoustic song. It's about the nightly news. Let me know what you think.

Lyrics

Todays top story on the headline news, more than I can ber to see, close my eyes but I can hear it too, another blood soaked page of history.

But I don't want to turn it off, it compels me.

I sit and watch as all the horror unfolds, through the smiles of the nightly newscast team, Mrs. Blonde and Mr. blue eyes, don't even care what they show me.

Oh, stay tuned film at 11.

Life is pointless from the anchors view, tragedy is just a rating point, as long as the story not the truth shines through, no one will care what they say or do.

	great peice of songwriting.... hey man...u remind me of the poet Pablo Neruda...he would look at any object(a vase,a can,etc..) and compose a poem about it(character,value,beauty or not,virtue...etc)...this piece really communicated.. Check out my latest song called Bluesphemy (MJRF 2010)

	Well put... Makes more sense as an acoustic piece. Over production might have buried the message. Worth the wait!

	Jack Johnson, anyone? This song is amazing.....however, does remind me a lot of jack johnson's "on the news tonight"....kind of the same story line.....whatever the case...good song....

Reflecting on it
I would say 'inflection' , vocally . . . but it's there, only it
could mesh more with the tempo.

I work for a newspaper , and many years ago I heard the
story of a top editor who used to tell the crew "Give me 40
dead, and we'll go to the Top!"

I don't see any influences, so I'd suggest more of, how
would You say "Put the Instruments into the voice" -
more getting the vocal to match the key of the chorsd in
some places.

This is not to say I did not like this piece, it is very
infectuous, and has quite a bit of promis.
