Description:
Well I don't know if I'm playing by the rules here but this is my answer to Cydniko 'Duel'. I have spent most of my life breaking the rules and I'm not going to stop now. I made no changes to Dion's song, I just played my guitar around and through everything he put down. He has a way of putting these great grooves together and he makes it easy to play to. So I hope you like my 'Rules of Engagement'. Enjoy.

Chakares, you may not believe it, but I had just signed on w/ the thoughts to email you to tell you that if you weren't yet inspired by a certain 'unnamed ditty' that I had something else that I was thinking of sending you to play over just because I wanted to hear your outrageous playing over something that I had created. Although it wasn't this duel thing, I am truly flattered and quite satiated.

Chak, you took a great sound bed, and made it into a mixture of "2cc" of
pure entertainment. The original slipped through my fingers... but has the
groundwork of very intellegible instrumentation (sorry Cyd, for missing
the first version). A "duel/duet" it is! Great groove and overlay of guitar
work.

i discovered this piece in the 2006 MacJams Retrospective collection. the guitarwork is sensational. i tried to locate the original piece, but was unable. unfortunate, because i would liked to have heard both to really get a full sense of just how impacting your contribution is.
