Description:
This picture is of Tossa de Mar, Catalonia, Spain.

Places like this are a great way to share fun and adventure with the ones you love.

The anticipation! Taken off in a plane, or sailing on a ship over beautiful seas. All in the anticapation of getting there. Then seeing the beauty of the buildings in the destiny of your joice. The food, the people, the fun, the beach, the gorgeous nights out!

The reverb suits the wood on this one... &mdash 02/14/06 - 06:06:31 AM
...and it does have a sense of motion and travel...

In my first listen, the perfomance seems to catch fire about halfway
through... can't pin it down, but something gets better...

It's recorded very nicely, of course, as your tunes always are. Must be the
completely professional foot stand...

Maybe the ascension of the cords going up, I go up past the 12th fret with that.
Kinda gives a plane effect like taking off, or what ever you might think it that
regards.

Thanks again

Brings me back in time &mdash 02/14/06 - 06:12:54 AM
Wonderful Bill. This has that delightful atmosphere of the Spanish culture.
I lived in Spain for five years, but never made it as far north as Catalonia.
Spent most of my time in Andalusia.

God bless,

Rick

Thanks DU, hope you can experience some of the joys of an actual exotic
adventure. Even the anticipation before you get there is half the fun. This really
isn't about one place as it is places to go that you are looking forward to going.
Even if it's for charity work, which I guess would be the supreme anticipaton of
going to a foreign country to help a person or a people or a culture etc.

My daughter's best friend went to a trip to help the Tsunami victims. What a
great service!

there are so many things you do in the way you play this tune (none of which I know the terms for) that make it so fun to listen to. It would be a real treat to see you play in person, maybe it would help me understand how you're able to make such beautiful music.

Lovely stuff &mdash 02/14/06 - 04:54:18 PM
This is still a steel string guitar, not? In places it sounds like a spanish
guitar.

Great atmosphere in this piece.

Trip to Spain &mdash 02/14/06 - 08:48:02 PM
Thanks for this Bill! Most likely the only trip I will ever make to Spain. It
was most enjoyable. You really threw everything into this one, slides on
the treble, bass hammer on's, rapid pickin, changing rhythm and time.
A master at work!

Nice guitar work &mdash 02/15/06 - 12:12:30 PM
You threw in a lot of stylings that gave it a really good, organic feeling.
How you get those harmonics so clean yet fast is beyond me. Joyous and
happy. A lot of fun to listen to and your description got me into the mood
of the piece right away. We're in for a big snowstorm, so I'll just gaze at
your beautiful photo and listen to this.

Sweet sounding &mdash 02/17/06 - 04:57:15 PM
This has so much depth. I really like the sound you're getting here. Just
the right reverb. I like the slide of hand into the chords. Quite the
craftsman. Thanks for sharing this, it's a nice way to start my evening.

Regards,
John

Humbled! &mdash 02/19/06 - 11:50:32 PM
This is one of my favourites of yours Bill (no mean feat!). It takes me
back to our travels in Spain and Portugal with our daughter and her
husband in 2002 without resorting to any pseudo-flamenco riffs. I
simply don't know how you produce so many excellent pieces Bill, and
especially while maintaining such high standards of production and
playing. Love it!

Musicianship is first rate and sound quality is top-notch!
