Description:
The music is almost completely loops from the GB Classical Jam Pack, then mixed in with my own weird goodness!

Here's my attempt at something dark and moody. All critiques welcome! I haven't gotten bad advice yet from MJ'ers! Thanks!

Stacey

Vocals & Keyboards: Me
Everything Else: GB3

Lyrics:
GIVE ME EVERYTHING
Stacey K. Black

Give me your crumbs I'll take them all add water make a ball and throw it far far away.
Give me your spirit there's no one around to hear it or fear it when it comes out to play.

Give me everything give me everything I ask for
give me everything give me everything and then give me more.

Give me your soul I know it's old and cold but never bold enough peek out and take a risk.
Give me your personality it's been on sale for free and actually its to your benefit.

Give me everything give me everything I ask for
give me everything give me everything and then give me more.

Give me your manifest and I can test the rest of all you attest to hold blessed in your world.
Give me your creation and I can plan the relationship you'll be having with this girl.

Give me everything give me everything I ask for
give me everything give me everything and then give me more.

To these ancient folkie ears... &mdash 02/14/06 - 06:14:35 AM
...this is a wonderful lyric...

The music has a brooding movement to it that suits the lyric, too... I
know people hate comparisons, but I could hear shades of some Fiona
Apple in this... And, as with the last one of yours that I heard, I could
imagine it as a theater piece, too... Heck, a theater piece with a dance
bit choreographed all around the main singer...

I know there are other MacJammers who'll be able to give you
suggestions about tweaking up loops and that sort of thing, but I just
love the basic song. That lyric brings out "the laugh of pain"... Really
good...

great lyrics! &mdash 02/14/06 - 07:28:30 AM
I love the thunder and rain sound mix in with all the interesting touches,
and the strait presentation of your voice, together! Where do you get
thunder and rain that sounds like that? Is it found on jampacks? :)

Thanks so much for your kind words! And, as for the Thunder and Rain, I don't know which jampack they're on, or if they come with GB 3? I can't remember! But, I got it by using a softward instrument, "Sound Effects" and choosing Nature Sounds. (There's also Applause and Laughter, Comedy, and Radio Sounds under the Sound Effects). Then I found the Thunder, Rain, and Loon with my keyboard hooked up through a midi interface. Hope that helps and thank you again for listening!

Very good mood setter for a mood that's not very good.
I like your recitation of very creepy, controlling lyrics.

I just want to say congratulations on having the most original and wonderful name that I have seen on this site. Actuallly, anywhere on earth. First, I just saw "Death Nougat." Funny enough. Then I checked out your profile... "FLESHY Death Nougat." I can't take it! It actually got better!

As soon as I get home, I'm going to check out your music. It sounds like a fun experiment, and I may even try it myself!

Oh, btw, thanks so much for your great comments. I appreciate it!

Thank you for liking the name, Stacey ... I wanted to convey something silly,
trippy, and maybe ever so slightly menacing. Experimenting with the
GarageBand loops is fun.

I like it fast and noisy.

I really, really like this. Always demand more. Don't be afraid. The
harmonies are splendiferous. I think you had a great vision with this
song. Thanks for creating and sharing! kelli

We need more chicks here, but wow, you're just all-around a wonderful
singer-songwriter and this is another terrific example. There are so
many little details that are easy to miss in this bed, but they add so
much to the song. Wonderful voice, the whole package.

Also, you are welcome to come to Seattle and kick my husband in his
heiny anytime you like.

Seriously. If your husband doesn't start listening to your music, ESPECIALLY the songd you write FOR him... I can not be held accountable for my actions while under the influence of PMS. I'm in California. Not too far to Seattle!

Thank you so much for your kind words! You are amazing!
