Description
This song was not really "written". Basically I woke up one night back in mid 1995, and recorded this on an old tape deck. My high E string was broken, so I re-tuned my guitar down somewhat so that I was effectively playing with no bottom E string. But with only 5 strings, a funky tuning, and no prep, I just sat down, turned on one mic, and just sang whatever came to mind. The lyrics were all extemperaneous, improvised on the spot. This was the only take. The precusion bit was me just running the tape back through and tapping a beat on a shoebox or phonebook or something like that. Anway.... here is an example of an on-the-fly song.
