Description:
I wrote this song sometime in 1998, and this was recorded in 1999. It's basically about having to get up in the morning and go to work, but not wanting to leave home... to be with the one you love.

Lyrics:
In the morning I wake
In the morning I drive
While you're sleeping
I'm on my way
To work

In the morning I call you up
And I whisper in your ear
It's 7am and I want you here

And I say
I-iiiiiiiiii
Oh I-iiiiiiiiii
I-iiiiiiiiii I
I want you here

I-iiiiiiiiii
Oh I-iiiiiiiiii I
I-iiiiiiiiii I
I want you here

And as the day goes on
I know I want to go home
I want to hold you in my arms
And hold you near

And when it's time to come home
I know that's where I belong
I'm dropping everything
Just so I can be here
And I say

I-iiiiiiiiii
Oh I-iiiiiiiiii
I-iiiiiiiiii I
I want you here

I-iiiiiiiiii
Oh I-iiiiiiiiii I
I-iiiiiiiiii I
I want you here

Very nice &mdash 02/18/06 - 03:02:24 AM
Some of your other songs seemed a bit melodramatic or perhaps a bit too personal for a third party listener but this one has more of a universal tone. I think that has more to do with the nature of the lyrics than the theme of the song. Your lyrics here strike a good balance of getting your feelings across and making them accessible.

Really good melody and phrasing on the vocals. The transition into the chorus was very nice to listen to. My only criticism is that the vocals are too soft in places..you may need to remix and really hit the vocals hard in some spots. Also..some backround vocals harmonizing in the chorus would sound nice as well.

There are alot of people out there with better chops or trying to be daring and innovative but this song is definitley one of the more enjpyable listening experiences I have had on on this board.

Its too bad more people are not commenting..quite a few have already downloaded this song so you would think they would take the time to say something.

nice job &mdash 02/18/06 - 07:19:49 PM
terrific chorus. even without many words to connect things, the melody
makes up for everything and then excels the song forward.
