Hillbilly BarMitzvah

Description
Here is a song celebrating both the Hillbilly and the Jewish sides of myself.

Garageband allows me to make this something different than it was originally intended for. It was written for 2 acoustic guitars and reveals something of my bluegrass influences.

Interesting
I like this mix of styles. Very interesting.

Maybe you could invent a Klezmer Blue Grass style? :-)

Klezblue
I am pretty sure that Klezmer and Bluegrass have
already been done.

However maybe someone out there can add a
clarinet or fiddle break to this. I could remix and
tone down the electric guitar, which is not a real
electric guitar anyway. This is all acoustic guitar that
has been dolled up in GB.

My band once did...
A bluegrass version of Stairway to Heaven. It wasn't
Rocky Top, but it was very very popular at all you can
drink bars.

Biggest kick of all-I got to yodel in the middle of it! :)

Sweet
I don't get a real strong sense of bluegrass, but it's
cool regardless.

Is this based on traditional Jewish music? Reminds
me of some Russian music that I heard once. That's
what it needs! A balalaika!!!

I do wish it was a bit longer, though!

Didn't know...
you had a hillbilly background. It might come in handy with Dreamers Like Me. I plan on getting a clarinet again (which I studied for years). Maybe I could add that clarinet part?
Again, an unique guitar composition.

This I like
I can see myself pouring my talents into this one. Very
intriguing. High energy. Middle East meets Backwoods
America. Call it Holler Hutzpah.

Oy vey
This is something else. Yiddish meets the Smokey Mountains meets Haight Ashbury meets the Greatful Dead.

But I love it. It is, to say the least, very original, and quite good. You really surprised me when the overdrive guitar came in the first time in the song. I wasn't expecting it at all.

If you really want to mix it up, add the clarinet, along with the fiddle and maybe a mandolin.

Way to go Mr. El Oval
