Description:
Re-post one of my first songs becuase of linkproblems.

This is my tribute to and the people who lives in the
village of Tjautjas in the north of Sweden. The song is in Swedish and i trying to use the old traditional way of singing called "Jojk" used by the Sami people. The "jojk" was among other a way to express feelings without words. My girlfriend who is a Native Swede or Sami ;-) is in the song somwere also Jojking.

Lyrics:
Something like:
I was traveling from the south to the land of the reindeer. When i saw the mountain they called me.

I am a man from the southern coast used to the sea. But i felt like coming home on the shores of Lake Tjautjas.

I feel free walking around surounded of mountains and reindeers.

Ruffly translated.

Hardware:
Mac G4, Sm 58 ,and a midi smart keyboard and a audiophile 2496 soundcard.

Software:
Reason, for the pads and some drums, Garageband (rewire is realy cool) for the rest.

Glad you got it back up on MJ. Nothing really new to say here from what I
said last time. Great tune. I love the harmonies, the power of that
chorus. I like the mix of traditional, almost tribal folk and modern rock.

I am a big fan or your music! Sami music is something that resonates with
me quite a bit and I like the way you blend the Sami in with the Rock
elements. Very good!

very nice &mdash 02/20/06 - 01:03:49 PM
This is beautiful! Very dreamy and relaxing. I really like the harmonies
and the overall peaceful sound. Swedish huh? I was trying to figure out
what language you were singing in while it was playing. What a great
example of how music transends language -- the rough translation
that you shared was exactly what came across! Kepler

Thank you very mutch.
I am from the south of Sweden (Gothenburg) and we got the sea there. We dont
have big mountains an reindeers but i felt the same way when i first heard sami
music and didnt understand a word. And the Jojjk is a realy good way to
describe feelings without words.

Thank you for your kind words.

I just watched the film The Cukoo. I fell in love with the environment of that part of the world and the way the Sami had adapted to it. Thank you for posting this.

Native, excellent lyrics &mdash 11/26/06 - 06:03:22 PM
I was born in Norrland, now living in Gteborg. You've really managed to capture the jojk and modernising it, creating a modern song. I never realized how close the lapponian and native American music are before. Again, very professional. Are you touring with a band? I'd like to catch You on stage.

What a great find &mdash 02/11/07 - 06:51:34 PM
I lived in Norrland too before moving to the USA and are very familiar with both the native cultures. You've completed a great poetical piece here that really feel honest and true. Great choises of drums (I agree Reason and Rewire works very good some times in combination with BG). This is very, very good. Man tackar! /Mikki
