Lyrics:
I Burn For Her

Echoes at the edge of the world
Where the red moon is courting a star crossed sky
Gracefully wearing a rose on her shoulder
Under her shade i slowly die

Her pen is a sword in this meditation
she lay's her spanish eyes upon me
baring a smile that sets ablaze temptation
It awakens the burn within me

(Hook)
I Burn for her...
Burn in a flame of confusion
I burn
I burn for her

Darkness falls from the night sky
With gentle brush strokes and concentration
Lilly white skin and hazel eyes
I yearn for her sensation

No need for Ritual courtship
or sexual confrontation
Just one taste of her sweet lips
and i'll burn in the coolth of her sensation

(Hook)

As narcissus gazed into a stream
i gaze with a sting of adorn frustration
because i could never have those spanish eyes
I still burn for her sensation
(I burn for her sensation)

Echoes at the edge of the world
To the thawing of a reverent wind
Come with rain, O Beautiful girl
Because here i burn from within
(I burn for her...)

(hook until fade)

IF heaven existed..
If I would break down these walls ,And shout my name at heaven's gate
I'd take these hands, And I'd destroy the dark machineries of fate

I liked this. Very Pink Floydish or, err, Police-like. Was the bass quotation from "Walking on the Moon" intentional or just a happy accident. Just wondering.

I'm not sure what was explicit about this though. Maybe I missed some subliminal stuff or something.

Nice though.

you hit it right on the nail with this one,
i was think of thoose two bands in particular upon creation
The Walking on the moon was, kind of a happy acciident,
I wrote a song/poem called (i burn for her), which was loosely based on a
police song called "I burn for you"

while coming up withe the arrangement, i wanted to make a clear ode to the
police, but i didn't know how.
so while working on the song
my bf who's a bassist and helps me out with all the bass arrangement
was playing the riff of Walking on The moon
and it complimented the song

i didn't want to make the riff the main bassline, so we thought of a scheme to
stick the riff at the end of the composition
thought it'd make a cool outro,
alot of people over here dug it, so we kept it in
so now this song in general is an ode to the police

Explicit? mmm must've done that one by accident
thnx for the comment though
