Great remix! &mdash 02/22/06 - 11:34:46 PM
But in fact, MacJams DOES give you the option to delete your songs. I
recently deleted 28 loop-tunes I did when I first started out. Hit the Edit
button next to your tune on your Profile Page. Then scan the page that
comes up carefully. You'll find there is a button you can click on to Delete
your song.

Love the remix. I envy your skill at rendering tasty blues licks!

Strats a screamin' &mdash 02/23/06 - 12:03:41 AM
Lot's of guitar going on here and there's nuthin' wrong with that! I like the
chord change up you throw in the middle there. The echo/reverb latent
sound give it that extra Lower Wacker feel.

Real Nice &mdash 02/23/06 - 01:09:08 AM
I like the layering of all those classic strat tones. Very Hendrixy or Robin Trower influence there. Nice panning. What are you using to get those guitar tones? I use a line 6 pod or sometimes I mic a little Fender Blues Jr I have but I can't get near the tone you do.

Hello Stratcat51,

First, thank you for the compliments. I use Tone Heaven amp modeling,
which I downloaded from (www.macsongtools.com). For the main rhythm I
use a setting called Eric Johnson SRV, which gives a clean SRVish tone with
some echo and chorus. I use the the neck and middle two pickups (4rth
position selector switch.) Texas specials pickups are a must. For leads I like
to use the neck pickup, this gives a warm fat tone, very Trowerish. I use a
custom amp model which I made for this, I like lots of sustain for leads so I
can hold and bend, I have a strong vibrato so its good to have lots of sustain.
I used to be a humbucker only player years ago, I played a 1965 Gibson
Melody Maker with Duncan pickups, but I made a trade with my brother for
my current strat. I love the pure Fender Strat tone, very distinctive. I dont use
a preamp, I plug directly into my mac.

Thanks again

I &mdash 03/14/06 - 08:44:05 AM
can hear the Trower influence very smooth playing, really liked your tone . You should check out Z28's songs here on MacJams he plays a similar style is quite good too.

Tone to the bone. &mdash 03/17/06 - 04:25:44 PM
For me the tone is what I love and try to achieve. Trower has always
been one of all time favorites. Trower wasn't just Bridge of Sighs, he
played some great blues songs with a rhythm guitar that sounds just
like this. Love that sound. Tone Heaven real does a pretty good job
getting you started with a nice sound to work with. Nice playing from
you too.

Lovely &mdash 03/25/06 - 12:08:28 PM
guitar tone, like everyone says. This is really a great little tune; the leads are great, but I especially like how that rhythm guitar sounds. Very groovy.

Thank you Mcboy for listening and taking a moment to comment. Tone is
everything for me, especially the pure Fender strat tone, the twang, the warm
tones...etc.

Thanks again

great post &mdash 04/05/06 - 01:50:15 PM
incredible stuff. i love all the 'tones' your able to achieve. from the
rocked out to that jazzy chorused sound. the mix is excellent. the
soloing is topshelf, and the rythm work supports it well. one small
critique. the bass and drums don't seem to be on the same level as
your guitar work. by no means a diss. this is some of the best stuff i've
heard here, its just that the backing tracks (except the rythm gtr) are a
tad anemic. maybe its my cheap computer speakers. i will check out
your other stuff as well. great post!

Thanks for the nice comments, as far as the levels, yes I do have problems with
mixing levels correctly, hopefully I can get the hang of it soon.
Thanks again, glad you like my music.

Added the overdrive... &mdash 03/14/07 - 10:12:43 AM
...and kept the Strat sound. Awesome.
What's the amp? Sounds like my Boogie Mark IIB. Or maybe a Twin?

No Amp &mdash 03/14/07 - 01:02:10 PM
just straight into an M-Audio Fast Track, using some Tone Heaven modeling.
Thanks for stopping bye.

Super clean. That's impressive.
The SRVs sound great. Might think about them for my '57.
