Description:
It`s a collab with krtaylo who wrote the music and me who sang a little bit. I`ve had some problems with an incorrect download but it was lots of fun to sing over such a great playback! Hope you all like it!

easy going sound &mdash 02/22/06 - 04:01:11 PM
This is really sweet sounding. Great warm melody arranged really well.
The fast light pattern over the cruising is a nice touch. I love the
harmonies. Your James Taylor-like singing sounds perfect for this, just
the right instrument. I enjoyed this a lot.

Only nit: What's that sound at the begining? It sounds like the clipped off
ending to something else before this song. You really should clean that
up because other than that this sounds pretty flawless and radio ready.

Nice J.T., But... &mdash 02/22/06 - 08:07:17 PM
lacking his interesting variations.

This is a very pleasant little song. Please understand that I offer the
following as constructive suggestions, not as criticism...

Recognizing this is a Demo, it sounds very good. I.G.M.'s excellent
vocals certainly DO give this tune a warm J.T. feel. Part of the problem
--- as *I hear it* --- is that ALL of the instrumental elements are
loaded into the arrangement from the get-go.

Staggering the introductions of the string pad and the arpeggio would
help *build* the arrangement a bit. Still, the tune is basically Verse &
Chorus X3 and out. I think it would benefit from an instrumental bridge
or interlude after the second chorus. The occasional horn stab I hear in
this current arrangement suggests a very pretty sax solo would work
quite nicely --- and perhaps allow for a little variation leading to the
final verse.

I would also suggest that the pretty harmony work in the choruses
could be enhanced by some additional instrumental help... perhaps a
more intricate bass line --- or a sax follow part. Perhaps even both. ;-)

James Tayor &mdash 02/23/06 - 02:22:31 PM
You ought to give this to James Tayor.

It would be perfect for him. Not that it is not perfect for you but he really
should like something like this gem.

Way to go!

Like the fast effects here.

This is terrific!

James Taylor &mdash 02/23/06 - 02:25:03 PM
I hate it when I spell things wrong like James Taylor!

But again, really I wish you could get this to James Taylor.

Great sound. Nice vocals. Just a nice mellow melody works really well. Background vocals sound great.

more than a demo &mdash 02/24/06 - 08:13:30 AM
ditto slimgirl, a stunning track. great collab both of you. the JT
comparison is eirie. igm, your voice is truly soothing. nice job all the
way around. agree that it could use an instrumental bridge or possible
a horn solo. Thanks respectfully

MAN YOU HAVE SUCH A NICE VOICE! &mdash 02/24/06 - 09:45:38 AM
I'm a big fan of James Taylor and that is what it sounds like to me. Maybe even a bit of Vertical Horizon... you got to listen to them!

immaculate harmonies &mdash 02/24/06 - 03:37:09 PM
Would have believed this was JT if I hadn't been told - I need to take
that out of the equation - right down to those immaculate harmonies.
I'd have liked some acoustic guitar in this - both picked and a lead -
but it really is excellent as it is, although some light and shade in
instrumentation would be good.
Very well done!

Beautiful voice &mdash 12/20/07 - 03:08:21 PM
I wouldn't give a comment about how you produced this song, as I'm no musician at all - but I liked it a lot, and your other songs as well.
