Firstly, I really love your voice - it's sweet and quite unique, and you sing this song beautifully.
This is a good song, and I like the way you use quite sparse instrumentation at various points, but I'd give it another go mixing this - the voice needs to be a bit sharper and maybe louder, and the piano and chorusy guitar are a little too loud.

You have a wonderful voice. I like this song, and its nice when that counter melody that the piano/strings play enters. I think the chosen instrumentation and the arrangement is well suited for the mood and flow of this song. But I could also visualize it in a arrangement with a groove from a bass and drums, where the piano theme more used as a hook-line.
Anyway, you have a new fan:)

You have a really nice voice and I like the song. If I was producing, I would compress your vocal a bit, and ditch all the instruments other than the guitar. Then, i would write some lush chords that would lay underneath the guitar. Thanks so much for posting this! [ Reply to This ]

Very nice songwriting. The sparcity is quite nice, though you
might want to find a pianist to give you some help. The *idea* of
the song definately comes across, but the limitations
instrumentally are apparent. You've got a lovely voice in the vein
of Lisa Loeb and you know how to capitalize on it. Overall very

A very convincing voice, but in my opinion unfortunately a rather sloppy mix of instruments. When I first heard the guitar chords, I thouhgt the vocals were gonna sound similar. Then I was positively surprised to hear a quite crispy recording. If I were you, I would work on the quality of the instrumental recordings as well as on the balance of the mix.

Really nice melody with a very catchy chorus. I think all the components
are here for an excellent song. To me the instruments were on the loud
side... the piano was distracting being so high in the mix. The guitar was
well played but in the remix I would try making it sound softer and
warmer... if you know what I mean.
There is so much that is nice about this song that it would really be worth
the time and effort of remixing. There are several people here that I'm
certain would be glad to help you- if needed.

Enjoyable. Would like to see the remix fixing the technical areas. There are some areas your voice is too faint and gets overridden by the instruments, turning that up a notch would be great. Also the instrument that comes in at 'Do you hesitate..' is really loud and grating. Turning that down significantly would be my advice. I thought at first it was my desk phones loudspeaker system being activated.
