Description:
This is my interpretation of Cyd's "Duel". Not that it needed anything, but what a cool tune to work with.
A few technical notes...
This was built around the rhythm bed that Cydniko posted. All other sounds are by me (except the gunshot samples) and were made with only an electric bass and electric guitar. I'm a lousy guitar player so cut me some slack on the sloppiness. Also, there are places where you'll hear fret buzz on my bass, let's just consider that "ambience"...
Also, note the Space Modulator in the song image... thanx to Marvin Martian for that!
And thanx Cydniko for your wonderful music!

Only I didn't see any bad in this piece...It was ugly at times, but ugly like
someones face after it's just been smashed in with a bar stool. Silky
smooth bass lines, I like the fast that you preserved the western theme.
You may have walked from EL Paso to Oaxaca but by the time you arrived,
you had already slain a thousand men.
Now we just need Datafunk to remix this version and the saga is
complete!!!
What an interesting interpretation of Cyd's great soundscape. So different
from Chakeres' (also excellent) response! One more reason to love
MacJams. Thanks friend.

that panning at the beginning is making me dizzy.
This started off with almost a Curtis Mayfeild vibe veering into some
chemically unbalanced combination of Al DiMeola and Medeski, Martin
and Wood.

thats so cool how you manipulated some of the original "bed" without
affecting the percussive parts. cool guitar, very inspired. the bass line
really helps fold it all together.
