Description:
Don't you just hate it when your friends never seem to want to get out and have fun? Sometimes they complain about how they have no life. . . We say they're being a poopy pants. . .
Pooey added some harmonies and bass guitar, and I also asked him to play a cheesy guitar solo, but what he came up with I actually kind of love.
Lyrics:
I didn't go to your dance,
'Cause I'm a big old poopy pants
Didn't wanna go to your supper
You know I had to change a diaper
I'm the one who's never happy
Yeah the one who' always crabby
Poopy pants(x6)
[pooey's guitar solo]
So you gimme these things to choose
But you're the one who's gonna lose
Put an X through my name
'Cause I'm the one you're gonna blame
I'm the one who's never happy
Yeah the one whose pants are crappy
Poopy pants (to end)
Hardware:
Yamaha pf85, eMac, mAudio Duo, Squire Strat, Ibanez 5 string bass, Eden Time Traveller amp, some microphone!

Hehe... this crap had to be fun to make! Makes me think it could be on SNL or SCTV! Good vocals and instrumentation, fits right in the adult contemporary poop... er... pop category. [ Reply to This ]

SNL?! Wow, what a compliment! Thanks!

This is almost better than curling! I'm really glad you sang "crappy" on
the second verse. Must watch out for those popping "P"s, though.
Awesome guitar solo mr. pooey! [ Reply to This ]

Thanks for listening. I'll work on the p's! Need to invest in a screen!

quite odd! &mdash 02/25/06 - 08:12:03 PM
Well done. Strange cut to come out of the gate with. Clicked the link in
Pooey's forum post, and your face popped up in the mystery macjamer
box, so guess I was meant to listen.
Sheer silliness. I'm not one for scatological songs, but this one was worth
listening to. I think you need more verses though. [ Reply to This ]
crap-o-licious! &mdash 02/25/06 - 11:41:42 PM
What a stellar debut for Ms Miss... so glad you joined MacJams! I
loved your iComp song... and now this! I can't believe you two.
That poopy pants chorus is very memorable and just gets stuck in
your head... and the guitar solo is great, too. Oh, and I loved the
graphic... I could go on and on... These kind of tunes remind me
of how badly I want to participate in a pop format song... We
have to all work together someday soon! [ Reply to This ]
Thank you Friend of Pooey &mdash 02/26/06 - 03:00:09 PM
What a compliment coming from you Stun. I've heard so much about you and
from you. Thanks for taking the time.

World Wide Pants &mdash 02/26/06 - 12:12:14 AM
Good song. Lots of fun and well done. I really liked the vocals and
harmonies. It's not easy doing quality material such as Poopy Pants
Club. Waiting to hear Poopy Pants Club Part 2.
Keep up the good work. [ Reply to This ]
I know exactly what you mean... &mdash 02/26/06 - 02:50:35 AM
Having worked in schools myself for a few years I know what you mean with this song.
It's a really great first Macjams submission and I congratulate on uploading it for the world to listen to.
The guitar solo was excellent too.
I/we need more.

Guess I better start going to some of those work related functions at
work, huh. Don't want to be labeled Mr. Poopy Pants for life!
Very fun song! Nicely done. Pooey- I had no idea you were such a good
guitar player. Surprises all around! [ Reply to This ]

I loved your vocals on this song. You have a great voice. I also have
difficulty with popping p's, even with a screen, so you're not alone
there. You and Pooey both did a great job on this. Can't wait to hear a
serious song from you, where you really explore your vocals to their
fullest. [ Reply to This ]

Thanks Joanna,
A serious song. . .it's in the works. You have an awesome voice yourself!
This has been such a blast. I'm looking forward to the next project.

I hate to say it... &mdash 02/26/06 - 06:28:37 PM
But I'm a pooey pants... Yes, I'm the one who would never go to any
group outing, and not even w/ may own family and at the youngest
age that I can recall... BUT - I am happy! Nothing against group outings
for everyone else though...
All this aside, this was a delightful track to listen to. Fun. And a very
nice first vocal works! I take it that you're singing in some church choir
somewhere... Just a guess - This is not the type of vox to spring fresh
outta the shower to debut such a confident diplay of works - But again,
I'm just guessing...
Thanks - Cyd
Ohhhhhh and the guitar solo - quite impressive!!! [ Reply to This ]

You two sound great together.... and I must say, Ms Miss (aka the real
talent in the Pooey family), you have a wonderful voice.
I smiled all the way through this song. Brightened my evening so
very much. Thanks.

This is Crap! &mdash 02/27/06 - 11:21:20 AM
Not really, but that was fun to say.
Very funny. I especially like the rhyming of "happy" and "crapy," and the 16th note guitar under the chorus. I'm gonna link to this song in every forum post with someone whining about voting.
Also, about the popping p's: so what. In this song I think they're kind of a virtue. Give a listen to "Let It Be" (you know, by that famous Apple band The Beatles) with headphones on, and listen to Paul's mic technique. It's a little something like this:
"When I find myself in times of trouble/Mother Mary comes to me,/s Peaking words of wisdom/Let it be. [ Reply to This ]
Let it Be??? &mdash 02/27/06 - 08:17:10 PM
I nearly fell off my chair when you likened my popping of the p's to the great
Beatles tune!
I GREATLY appreciate your comments!
I felt this gigantic grin spreading across my face when I read what you had to
say. Thanks so much!

Interesting, but... &mdash 11/28/06 - 04:23:27 PM
I thought this was rather humerous as a ballad. But here's an interesting thought. I think the lyrics and the tone of the son would make a great sounding country song. Something you could work out in time Leader's opry in Feb.
Just a thought.
