Description:
song for dan the navy man!

Lyrics:

c'mon son, be so kind...
and give me one little splash of rye...
and don't you tell me what to do...
don't you know, i've got a little woman too...

and in '42, that little girl
was more than a name tattooed at Pearl...
-so don't you tell me what to do...
don't you know, i've got a little woman too...

don't you know, i got the little woman blues...

Perfect every time! I'm beginning to suspect you may be a robot. :-)

If you really are a robot... &mdash 02/28/06 - 10:45:49 AM
...then you're without a doubt the most musical robot I've ever heard!
You just don't get it wrong, do you?
Wonderful!

nice.. &mdash 02/28/06 - 11:34:42 AM
I like the melody. Maybe the vocals should
be set back a tiny bit. Good voice.

Maybe darken the instrumentals a tad, to make
it less "twinkly". Good song tho!!

Tattoos were big in the navy when I was in, Although they didn%u2019t allow rye onboard, I knew a dude who drank Williams Lectric shave every day (not straight up, but with some ginger ale, on the rocks, no lie)
Sweet little tune. Mr. Jonx
(Jonx is pronounced like Jon-Ex, not like the Bronx?, am I right?)
I like the guitars especially. Very tasteful parts. Very precise playing. Simple but tasty riffs that go very well together. It%u2019s sure a pleasure that you put up so many wonderful songs mysterious Mr. x.
note: I tried the Williams and ginger on the rocks, not bad, but a funny after-taste, sort of how northern New Jersey smells.

Precious ditty sweetly voiced &mdash 03/10/06 - 06:37:58 AM
Excellent feel, and I love the stereo effect on the guitars (Paul Simon used
to do that in S&G) and the high voicing you give to guitar. To be
extremely picayune, your rhythm falters a couple of times just before the
last repeat and the exact timing you set up in the rest of the song hitches
a bit. Still, another precious ditty.

Jonx you understand or instinctivly know how to create so much out of
your word pictures set in the music... I appreciate that it doesn't sound
as if you wrote a ditty, then threw in some words, instead the music
propells the lyric toward what you are creating.... can't teach that
