When I speak of "punk" I'm speaking of a tradition in rock music that goes all the
way back to the beginning. Scratch the surface of any member of the Clash and
you will find a rock n roll classicist just one layer of varnish underneath. The
bands you mention are all very much precedent for just about any of those first-
wave punk bands, and add in the first Beatles to that list, and Chuck Berry, too.
So yeah, man, you got it! Thanks! woo hoo!

an old fart and this sounds like a cool mid sixties rock tune. Has an early
Kinks or Who vibe to it. I like the call and response of the vocals. I lke the
key modulations. Very effective. This song is real simple which is it's
strong point. I need to write an acoustic rocker like this. It's proof you
don;t need a guitar solo. Just a driving guitar chord progression and bass
part and drums and yer set. Buddy Holley would of liked this tune.
