very nice &mdash 03/04/06 - 04:40:03 PM
This is indeed a rather enjoyably dreamy piece. I like the idea of
transitioning from a simple tentative piano to the synthy pipes/strings,
but the transition was too abrupt, I think. I wanted there to be either a
longer pause, or (maybe better) have the synth strings crescendo
slowly in. It seemed to abrupt. The overall melody and arrangement is
nice, and the piano playing is quite pretty. The transition back to
piano at the end was great. Sometimes I like hanging unresolved
endings, sometimes I don't... I think I liked this unresolved ending.
Cool piece, off to listen to your other one... welcome to Macjams!
Hope this is the kind of critique you are looking for.

Thanks, and absolutely the kind of critique I am looking for. I can only get
better if people tell me what it is they want to hear. Thanks again! [ Reply to This ]

Wow &mdash 03/04/06 - 05:30:45 PM
This song is really nice. Soothing and relaxing, very ambient, much like
your other song. Also kind of repetative, but it's good like that.
I like the picture, did you create it? It's pretty sweet.
Anyways, nice work. I am liking your music. Hope to see more. [ Reply to This ]

I am sad to say that I did not create the picture. A friend sent it to me telling
me that I looked like the girl in it, though. I think it is just my red hair and the
fact that I am a big fan of autumn that gives the resemblence. Anyway, I
thought it appropriate for this particular tune. Thanks for the kind words [ Reply to This ]

Judging by the picture on your profile, I'd say it's your red hair, too.
And now I finally realize who you reminded me of.. That one girl on CSI! I'm not
the biggest CSI fan, but I think her name is Holly... [ Reply to This ]

Taking a look at your myspace profile, I take that back. But your MacJams profile
picture bears a striking resemblance. [ Reply to This ]
beautiful &mdash 03/04/06 - 05:41:35 PM
I love the way you've put this together. Very stunning piece.
I love the ending part how the soft piano comes back in. Very well done.
Thanks for sharing. It's a download for me!! [ Reply to This ]

Your chord progressions are tasteful and soothing, and the melody is (dare I say) pretty. I really liked this piece. When are you going to start singing on your songs? Don't forget to pan your tracks from now on (unless you don't want to). One other thing; I understood why the piano-to-synth transition was abrupt; however it felt like the syth-to-piano transition should have been sustained a bit longer. Did you wake up before the melody ended? I hate it when that happens!! [ Reply to This ]
Very Trance inducing &mdash 03/04/06 - 11:22:46 PM
Another nice tune Amber. You have some really good keyboard skills. I
think the synth patches should have faded into the piano part towards the
end. The reason the ending seems so abrubt is the melody is so strong. I
was going to say this music would go great with a dream sequence video,
but it evokes it's own imagery. You can slip on some headphones close
you eyes and this music will take you somewhere, [ Reply to This ]
very pretty tune .... &mdash 03/06/06 - 04:42:36 PM
This tune was very pretty and soft .... a relaxing listen .... p.s. you are lucky to have "Drakonis" in your corner .... he will prove to be one of your best critics, loyal promoter and a great guy to know! Oh right .. .back to the track .... love the ambient nature and flute sounds .... but .. as was stated earlier .. I also would have liked to hear more of a fade out ending to the song .... and perhaps a missing couple of notes added in to close it! [ Reply to This ]

Thanks! And I am glad to know what a good friend Drakonis is. At this point,
anyone in my corner is a good thing. As far as criticism goes, it's important.
Without listener's, there's still music, but where's the gratification if no one's
listening. So I appreciate any feedback. Thanks! [ Reply to This ]

nice meandering melodics..... &mdash 03/20/06 - 07:17:09 PM
...... with the flute, that is...... very fine chordal structure....... almost hymn-like. glad to hear stuff like this, seeing as i enjoy it but don't often visit certain genres...... this was eveloping, subtle and downright beautiful. lovely piano playing, and i give you 2 thumbs up on the no use of loops......... I enjoyed the melody, arrangement and the perfromance.
I agree with Mr. Beef that some stereo separation would help this track
sound more full (I too often do the same thing and try and catch myself).
The ending is fine with me. [ Reply to This ]
