Description:
This is a song I wrote in one of those bouts of insomnia, where you have a tune in your head, and you just can't sleep until you have it finished. When I hear it, I always think of snow. Anyway, I hope you find it enjoyable.

Hardware:
Just me and my keyboard!

Software:
Recorded through garageband, no effects or loops.

glad you captured the muse before it slipped away. Nice ambient chord
progressions... I would separate the instruments a bit, they were all near
the center. One thing you could do is duplicate a track (like the choir/
vox) and pan one far right, and the other far left, to give a "wide" feel to
your music.

Allow me to welcome you. Welcome! &mdash 03/04/06 - 05:21:35 PM
Hello! I would like to say welcome to MacJams, I'm fairly new myself. You
commented on my song so I thought I'd take a look at yours.

I know what you mean when you say it makes you think of snow. This is a
really cool tune, very ambient, very soft. The only criticism I have is that it
gets a bit repetative, but honestly I can't think of anything that would
make it better. Nicely done!

Thank you... &mdash 03/04/06 - 05:36:49 PM
...for not using loops. There's something organic and cathartic about playing instruments, as this piece exemplifies. This one describes how I feel after accomplishing something I wasn't sure I could accomplish; exhirarating and exhaustive at the same time. The suggestion of panning the tracks to highten the listening experience is a good one. Thanks so much for posting.

Great sound! &mdash 03/04/06 - 05:53:42 PM
It sounds like a nice piece for a movie, Iike Lord of the rings or
something. Nice work.

Nice feel &mdash 03/04/06 - 09:56:30 PM
This piece has a nice feel to it, but I agree with drakonis - some more
depth could make it so much better.

I love the ambient, peaceful feel to it.
