Description:
A tune about Atalanta's unrequited love for Jason.

Lyrics:
Atalanta

Atalanta was in love with Jason
But Jason was in love with Medea
Atalanta was a wonderful archer
But Cupid got a shot in the clear

Atalanta was beloved by a robber
A man who'd steal away with her heart
Atalanta sailed away on the Argo
She'd lost the golden Fleece from the start

A bow and arrow is no match for a true love
Emotion is no weapon of war
A bow and arrow will not make you feel happy
And bloodshed will not open the door

Atalanta never missed any target
Unless the target called her his friend
Atalanta always hit it the first time
The target got her back in the end.

A bow and arrow is no match for a true love
Emotion is no weapon of war
A bow and arrow will not make you feel happy
And bloodshed will not open the door

Thank you. I haven't been haunting MacJams for a while, so sorry for the delayed reply. I always try to acknowledge people who show an interest.

liking the guitar so far. nice folky voice. something about the production on the vocals i think sounds a little off, maybe too much effects or something? not sure. you should post the lyrics. a nice track. liking the soloing. reminds me of adam sweeny who's a guy i saw at a coffee shop. like the fade at the end.

As you were so kind as to listen, I did as you suggested and posted the words. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'd love to blame the equipment for the voice, but it's probably just me!
I'm currently singing on Fridays at Kempy's Bar in South Andros, and my vocals seem the better for it. We'll see.

oh, glad you posted the lyrics, it's a good song, i love the reference to cupid. i play open mics every thursday, tho i think that working hard for posts on this site make me more prepared for the open mics then the other way around lol. good to get out and play live.

It should probably be Eros ('cause it's Greek), but it didn't sound right.
I think it's the reverb - I should cut it down. Less effects is more.
Re live playing - it's such a buzz. I had a lady singing along with Across the Universe on Friday, and she was really good!
I think music should be fun, and it should be live. I still love GB and MacJams, though.
