Perfect morning song &mdash 03/11/06 - 06:25:21 AM
Oh, yeah, the perfect song to get me walking down that country road
on a fine, Spring morning, right after I look through the window and
see the robins. How'd you leartnto play like that? You outdo yourself,
Bill. Great slide guitar, great composition! Downloaded.

I like the little bit of strings in here along with your picking.

Wow &mdash 03/11/06 - 09:41:33 AM
This just blew me away after hearing my version for weeks. The strings and organ and other additions really enhance the song in such a different way from the craziness I added. I still love this upbeat, gorgeous guitar playing, and I like how our treatments of the song are so different.

Calming &mdash 03/11/06 - 10:34:15 AM
An easy going piece. A lazy, wonderful afternoon in the woods or on
the open prairie. Lots of energy in the song but I refuse to lift anything
heavier than this tumbler of chilled tea. Refreshed and ready to rest
now.

your guitar work enjoable Bill. I really like this version. I like the mixing in
of more esoteric instrumentation. It gives it a nice feel. One more reason
to purchase JP4. One more reason to continue to check out your posts.
Thanks for this one.

Sliding along &mdash 03/11/06 - 07:54:15 PM
good marriage of the electronic and the organic. This song travels
along with a definite sense of itself. Like how the change in
instruments is handled and each take their turn being dominate. Nice!

Beautiful &mdash 03/13/06 - 12:22:30 AM
I just love this piece, Bill. I think it is some of your best i have heard. There are several things about it i enjoy, but to put it simply, the mood is soooo sweet and there are such melodically pleasing layers and sounds, my mood lifts as i listen. Great stuff, Drew.

For some reason... &mdash 03/13/06 - 04:51:13 AM
...this is a tune where I really hear a number of your technical
strengths. You've got great time, without being stiff or mechanical. And
the slide lines really keep the synth/string bits lively; you have really
good time AND intonation as a slide player.

Listening in the very early morning hours over headphones while the
rest of the house sleeps, I'm also struck by how nice an "ear candy" mix
this is. Something interesting and nice sounding in every measure.

I love the vortex version, too...

Ed
