Description:
This is a song I wrote yesterday that was inspired by a news item that Bill Gate's personal fortune was now at 50 billion dollars. It is a no doubt unrealistic satirical song but one I hope you will find a lot of fun!
Several of the references are taken from what I learned about Gates in the documentary, "Revenge of the Nerds". One being that before he was married, Bill would often go weeks without bathing and would be somewhat odiferous! The other was that he was arrested for racing road construction bulldozers in New Mexico in the early days of Microsoft. Turned out the bulldozers didn't belong to them. The picture above is the actual mug shot from that incident. And if you do find the song unrealistic, I would ask "If not Bill then who? " It looks like we will again have no real choice in the next election and the government will be as corrupt as ever. At least Bill wouldn't need to take bribes and steal!

It something that he needs to hear, Not that you have to stalk em. But it

It sounds like a combination of an old gospel song with a twinge of Hank
Williams. I like the references to his lack of hygiene prior to his marriage
and the adjustments that his wife instituted. Does anyone know anything
about her?
Anyway, it was fun to listen to. It is the type of song that would fit in on a
weekend drive through a rural area full of churches.

Glad you liked it! I was thinking more John Prine and Woody Guthrie when I
wrote it but the gospel and Hank thing does fit also.

me? writing? haha...I will leave that to you...but...it would be kind of cool if you or someone can make a parody of Aerosmith's song "Janie's Got a Gun" by replacing some of the words to make it into a political satire about the Bush administration and call it "Cheney's Got a Gun"...just a random idea

....then maybe he should just buy Haliburton since they run everything
now anyway.I've heard a lot worse sugestions, most of them were in good
ole Memphis this weekend at the Peabody. The ducks were nervous.... :)

Awesome tune, Bronco. Great classic folksy sound, great message, and
some great fun.

Of course, then Steve Jobs would have to be The President for the Rest of
Us.

Fun song with great lyrics. Stellar vocals and musicianship!
