thoughts from the bull... &mdash 03/13/06 - 07:12:54 AM
yes. i enjoyed this. enjoyed this very much.
"Caroline here, is demonstrating the esprit decor, that made an empire
historically based on the rule of the hereditary monarch as great as it
sure was, before they all lost their marbles and of course, the colonies.
Caroline likes folk music."
brilliant! the tale of the knight is just wonderful!
thanks for sharing. this was a welcomed delight! ;o) [ Reply to This ]
And more! &mdash 03/13/06 - 08:47:34 AM
More hilarity, more wit, more wobbly bits! "Opposite of Pseudonym..."
ROFL... I should change my nym to Drakonym... which is the Greek god
Mynokard spelled backwards, which itself would be a palindrome, if it
weren't a little different when spelled right way around, but it is...
different I mean, not a palindrome. I hate to show my weakness in public,
but you are slaying this dragon here. Very very well written and delivered
humour, AGAIN! If I wore a hat, it would be off to you.

Love the Picture &mdash 03/13/06 - 09:08:17 AM
I assume this is a photograph taken, at the time, of Caroline's mother pondering the name to give her daughter, when she is eventually born several decades in the future.
How very prescient of you to have been there to take the shot Caroline. I alweays said you were one heck of a photographer.
Sir Gerald doesn't have his own screen name, but he asked me to pass on his thanks for the kind comments posted here.
He particularly appreciated the "esprit decor" - presumably the essence of good furnishings ?!
He wanted to ask Drak to buy a hat - he'll be needing it, and to thank him for his palindromic tendencies ... these are sadly lacking in the younger geranium. (sic)
I'm orf nah (indubitably) to practise impersonating my father eh what ? [ Reply to This ]

The Ultimate Um &mdash 03/14/06 - 05:55:05 AM
Dear Mr Vortex,
Thank you very much for your kind letter of the (pop the date in there Gladys will you old girl ?)
One is most gratified that you were given cause to titter by the et cetera and we here at The Institute would like to reciprocate gratitudinally for the arse-kicking stomp that is the ultimate um as so graciously mentioned in your sig.
We did have to assure a couple of the older members that it wasn't the end of the planet, but after they calmed down a most enjoyable hoe-down was had by all. [ Reply to This ]

A little research has &mdash 03/15/06 - 05:59:43 AM
revealed comdotdom as the Pythonesque voice behind this highly
entertaining yarn. I believe I owe you a quid or two for your marketing
services. :) [ Reply to This ]

Aah splendid young masses, an excellent piece of deduction, divination and dotdommery.
It is indeed me and, impressed as I am at your impressive grasp of the vernacular, I shall gratefully decline your offer of remuneration.
Should however the opportunity arise at some point in the not too distant thingummy for us to exchange musical or verbal wotsits I would consider it an honour. With a 'U'.
Yours et cetera

Esprit d'corps &mdash 03/15/06 - 10:18:39 PM
Sir Eggybread - LOL! Love it!

We are the knights who say.....'Nym'! lol [ Reply to This ]
Esprit d'corps &mdash 03/16/06 - 08:00:02 AM
You mean what is the antonym of pseudonym ?
Well Elforia my sweet, we looked up the answer for you, but it was too boring to report, so we're sticking with 'nym'.
It sounds much better and affords one the opportunity to use a bit of falsetto in one's daily life. A little high-pitched spice in an otherwise dreary soundscape of natural tones. Splendiferous what ? [ Reply to This ]
