Description
One morning I became fascinated with the words "matinee" and "marquee", then I started thinking about the meaning of excapism, and also about this little Texas town a bunch of my family lives in, and it became this song.

Dig it!
Somewhere between Canada's CAPTAIN TRACTOR and Missouri's BOTTLE
ROCKETS. Nice vocals/fine lyrics/great music. Man I like this! No...I like it
even more than that!

PS---Do check out my GOOD MAN DOWN. It's a moody tribute to a fallen friend.
I'd love your take on it.

Last Picture Show?
I am glad it was Marquee instead of Manatee. Though that could have
been funny.
This is a great GB2 recording, sounds like a band. A fave Frogmorton
song of mine... Bottle Rockets...yeah! I can see that!

thoughts from the bull...
this is one of the best things you've done, Matt.

well, actually, i could say that about every song i've heard of yours,
even that obscure piece you did with the typewriter or some such thing.

a beautifully arranged piece and i love everything about it, especially
how you have described it's origins.

excapism? what are ya, Stevie Ray Vaughn? hehe j/k!! ;)
