Description:
A song for Tracy
The love of my life
The love of my life
Lyrics:
Tell your story to someone who loves youwho was there when everything was new
when you feel like you can let me in
call me up and I'll come running
All these worlds of wine and roses
I am just as confused here as you
take a seat and find the tune
try and laugh it will all be over soon
if it's down this way we're walking,
it's fated, it's fated
and if we should end up talking,
it's fated, it's fated
in the days when we were children
life was simple and we had no end
we grow tall and throw it all away
trade it for loneliness and pain
take your rest from all these futures
I will promise to hear you
find your way across the room
hold your head up and
I will be there
in the end your story may be short but sweet
remember we walk upon the earth
with God's own feet
if it's down this way we're walking,
it's fated, it's fated
and if we should end up talking,
it's fated, it's fated
if we should end up living
it's fated
if we should end up loving
it's fated
if we should grow old
it's fated
it's fated

You have the simple truth quality of a Cat Stevens, the special way of
pronouncing syllables that adds meaning to simple phrases, and have
couched it all in a very pleasing groove. I enjoy the intimacy you
achieve for your vocals. I especially love the lyrics "We grow tall and
throw it all away, trade it for... loneliness and pain", the internal rhyme,
balance; and the way you highlight "Find your way across the room" by
using a higher register. When you sing low, sometimes the vocal gets
too soft; consider boosting those moments. Also, my ears want more
precision to your backing harmony, even tho I imagine the looseness is
a choice you've made. But this track is wonderful, carefully song with
plain intimacy that is magnetic and thrilling. (By the way, if you have
an URL, consider fixing the link on your home page, since it is currently
dead.)

sweetly done. all things for a reason. we make what we are out of it. and if we are able to tell someone who loves us, it alal seems to be more than it was ever worth. we give meaning this way to each other. and get it back again. i love this track.

that I have not until this moment had the pleasure of hearing your music? I'll have to go check out all of your stuff just to be sure.
But may I just say that I love everything about this song. Really gorgeous instrumentation and vocals. Top notch!
