Description:
A remix of my original, with Roxylee providing the background vocals.

Thank you Roxy for adding your considerable talents and beautiful voice to this piece. :-)

Lyrics:
When I was a young man, arrogant and proud,
My heart was cruel and cold, I wanted to beat the crowd.
I never once thought of you, I never even tried,
But you saw the hole in my soul, and offered your hand and cried.

I am a God of wonder,
I am a God of grace.
My love is neverending,
You should bow before My face.

I didn’t hear you then, my ears were for myself,
All I cared about was taking this world’s wealth.
I didn’t know it then, but you were always there,
Ready to lift me up and tell me that you care.

I blundered through my life and sank in the abyss,
You reached to me once more, so strong I couldn’t miss.
I finally heard your voice and accepted your Grace,
Tears of repentance streaming down my face.

(Chorus)

Oh God, my God, Your wonder is divine,
Oh God, my God, Your comfort is sublime.
When thoughts turn to You, my cares all disappear,
And I bask in Your love, that endures beyond the years.

(Chorus)

Chorus
You are a God of wonder,
You are a God of grace.
Your love is neverending,
And I bow before your face.

(repeat and fade)

Nice Remix &mdash 03/18/06 - 09:03:21 AM
She has a very good voice, blended with yours very well. I am a rookie so I
don't feel qualified to offer an advice, but I wonder what would happen if
you added a a backround track with her singing some oohs or aaahhs
toward the end?
Blessings,
Jim

A nice revisit... &mdash 03/18/06 - 12:51:36 PM
to what was a fine track to begin with. But I must say, Roxylee's vocals
add a further element of joy and beauty. This is wonderful!

Wonderful song... &mdash 03/18/06 - 02:10:36 PM
Rick. This is well written and well performed... and with Roxy (the
vocal gift that keeps giving) you have a beautiful song of honor and
testimony to the Lord. Kudos to you both.

What a great trio ;-) &mdash 03/19/06 - 09:46:46 AM
This is a very nicely written song, I like the main melody & chorus, fits
together very nicely. The lyrics are good, although the 4th line is a
little rushed (Too many syllables, Herr Mozart?) The key change
seemed a little abrupt, but probably a good thing to do (maybe do a
few bridging notes to get from one to the other.) I don't see a guitar
listed there, so I assume that was "keyboard"-entered... very nice,
sounded like real pickin' there. Rick, your voice is soft and enjoyable
to listen to. But i have to admit that Roxylee's backup harmonies are
really icing to this cake, and lift it a few more notches. Wonderful job
you two! Roxylee... I *told* you you'd like Garageband and Macjams,
and that your talent would be appreciated here! Bwahaha...
ttfn,
Drakonis

Rick, for asking me to harmonize with you, and thank you, MJ family,
for your support and encouraging comments. And yes, Drak, it IS a
trio, with Jesus right in the center. :-)

Thank you everyone for your super comments. Thank you Roxy for
agreeing to sing with me! Our collab was indeed an honor and a pleasure.
I hope we can do more of the same in the future.

Most of all, thank you Jesus for bringing us together and making this
humble song a true tribute to Your Love.

Thanks for the reminder... &mdash 03/19/06 - 09:21:51 PM
I loved the song. It was not what I was expection. Rick, your voice sounds
like a mellower Niel Young. What a fantastic quality.

Beauteous &mdash 03/22/06 - 08:19:03 AM
Rick, you have an "authentic" folk voice. It has a wonderful contour.
Roxylee, your voice has purity and certainty.

We must collaborate. Expect my agent to contact yours. (Actually, I
think he already has...Mr. Jack Miller).

An exceptional song of praise to the Maker.

Great song, straightforward and sure &mdash 03/22/06 - 01:11:18 PM
The harmonizing vocals add a fullness without being fussy or busy. You
always present a great narrative, Rick, and Roxy, you really add something
to the story.

Very nice. &mdash 04/07/06 - 06:14:30 PM
I really enjoyed this. The voices blend beautifully, and it's a nice
production. The modulation caught me by surprise, but it works. Great
job, Rick.

And Roxy! Wow, nice harmony. Rick I just seem to love everything you put up here. This is probably a future Sunday standard. In which case, I'll have t play it once a month, so you may as well send me the chords now;)(Just kidding, I think I can pick it out). Have a great day!
