Description
Written a few years ago (about 1999). Actually about a different kind of inquisition / attempted coup. Done in Finale '98 - brought here through the magic of Dent du MIDI and Soundfonts.

Violins
Sounds interesting. I could never master Finale (had it in
1991), so I used Vision (Opcode) instead with a Mac SE.
Times have changed since then...

Where did you find those soundfonts for the violins? I'd be
interested to get them too, so if you can post the link, that
would be highly appreciated. Or you can email me
through Macjams (look for core).

Great work, keep it up!

Violins
The violins and Viola came from the Musica Theoria sound font and the cello
came from the RealSound GS 2.0 sound font. IIRC I think I found them both
from here: http://hammersound.net/

Very Expressive
I don't know enough about classical music to offer much in the way of criticism. But this piece sound very tightly wound emotionally, very rooted so to speak. I love the break in the middle followed but what feels like the theme for a long walk to an regretful inevitable end.

re: Very Expressive
Thanks. I like the image you paint about the "last mile". It works nicely w/ the
image I chose, though it was more of a political inquisition I was thinking
about when I wrote it. I am pretty sure (it was about 4 or 5 years ago) that I
did put that pause in as kind of a place to emotionally regroup and get ready
to tie the ends together.

Fugue
I especially like the fugue-like section toward the end.
Altho the vibrato of the synth strings made me wobbly.
Thanks for sharing this. I really like the counterpoint.

Fugue
Thanks Tobin,

I'd love to find better strings than these, but so far this is the best I've found.
Of course I'd really love to hear it played by real players, but I'm not holding
my breath on that. The violins have no added mod wheel, they just have a
pretty heavy vib. in the sample.
