Lyrics
The Stars Above...What are they here for?
You smile and tell me what I'm here for...I'm here for you.
The warm music, behind the curtains
I try; the windows always shut cold to hear your voice
There, close beside the mellow words
Outside the walls
I listen within
Wind, flowing over the deepest dark
Brings your voice
Your voice brings the wind
The train arrives without a whistle
Slowly, everyone steps on board
And takes their seat
The streams and hills march slowly by
The moon, silver as it passes by
Let that be life...and it passes by
Wind flowing over the deepest dark
Brings your voice, your voice brings the wind
Warmth...pouring through the windows now
the world is far
Ever far away
I hear you say
You're here with me now
And now to stay
You smile and tell me what I'm here for...I'm here for you.
The warm music, behind the curtains
I try; the windows always shut cold to hear your voice
There, close beside the mellow words
Outside the walls
I listen within
Wind, flowing over the deepest dark
Brings your voice
Your voice brings the wind
The train arrives without a whistle
Slowly, everyone steps on board
And takes their seat
The streams and hills march slowly by
The moon, silver as it passes by
Let that be life...and it passes by
Wind flowing over the deepest dark
Brings your voice, your voice brings the wind
Warmth...pouring through the windows now
the world is far
Ever far away
I hear you say
You're here with me now
And now to stay

I think this is a really nice track...not sure its really folk as such..more a
ballad..kind of reminds me of Mark Kozeleck from Red House Painters. A
lovely understated melancholy to this.. good stuff indeed!
