Description
A song that I wrote before I met my wife. I wrote it for the girl who I would one day marry though I hadn't met her yet....The first time my wife heard me play it on an acoustic she said she new it was for her. Sounds sappy I know but it makes for a good song....plus there's a major Phil Spector thing going on here....The sonics continuously build and build....loads of ear candy....enjoy love

Tool meets Phil Spector
Not only does it have a Phil Spector thing going (the chimes at the end are
my favorite touch), but also a Tool thing (especially that surprising
progression midway thru), and a looseness in the vocal doubling that
gives it a hip alternative rock vibe. Very cool journey. And I love the
personal story behind it. Inventive and lush track built from a simple
idea, well done.

Very cool
I really like how this builds and I have to agree with Tobin about the
chimes at the end - a very nice touch, indeed.
I really liked the smooth fade-out ending, as well. A very nice way to end
this sonic ride.
Nice work!

Well Done
As usual, beautiful production from you. A really great song here, I
must say. I love the mood change once verything kicks in, and your
harmonies are performed very well. Are you playing all the instruments
yourself? Nice tubular bells at the end; it takes me to your wedding
day...
Thanks for posting!

Amazing music..amazing you
I learned about this song through the chat pimping. I guess if there are
wonderful things about pimping, this song is surely one of those!

SC, this is not your usual style of music, if I recall all the high-energy
and grand music I've heard from your catalog in the past. This one,
oddly maybe for you, is the best one yet I've heard from you. It has a
caressing ad soothing melody, not sonically overwhelming but more
like a subtle sensation to the ears and a gentle touch to the soul. In
general, your previous songs send me to a hallucinogenic ride (and I
mean in that in a very good way), but this one has a sedating,
tranquilizing effect. The instruments are right on, melodically
powerful, but they don't steal away from the lyrics and vocals and vocal
harmonies which I think are the main strength of this musical
masterpiece.

love song
i wish you'd posted the lyrics! it seems like there are some really cool
ones. (there's a basketful of sleeping smiles - love that!)

my brain can't process lyrics when i first listen to music for some
reason. if i listen over and over they'll pop out at me randomly.

anyway.

i like this a lot. build is pretty cool. makes the bit before the ending
very effective!

the production is pro.

lovely song...

best to offer
tons of depth, like it alot. amazing is not even an adequate description.
the plucked stings with the backing vocals, the way it builds, the
strings, the production, the progression. its so damn original.
something like this clearly cuts through the clutter. easily some of the
best MJ has to offer

hmmm....
Gotta say that springclock is probably my favorite artist on this site, but this song just doesn't do it for me. Too much Pink Fraud influence to interest me. Not that it's a bad song, it just doesn't seem to have the same energy and vibe that all the other springclock stuff has.

cool story about your wife though, I dig that.

Great stuff!
What a beautiful, full production this song is. Fantastic harmonies, lots
of big sound that builds beautifully. I wish you'd posted the lyrics,
though. That's usually my favorite part of a song, but I couldn't
understand all of them.

Really Strong finish
You're a real find. I'm enjoying your approach to song construction
and texture. I really liked the back end which had a solid hook and
interesting effects going around.

I did detect some amp buzz at the break. Mute my man.

Vocals were excellent in the sence of fluid harmonies. They floated in
and out of a traditional harmony bed which added a lot to the song.

High marks again
