Description
This is the song I wrote for my friend who I've known for 10 years. Now she turned 30. I am 31. Looking back the day I first met her in England, the idea of this song came up.
Happy Birthday, Yayoi!!

Lyrics
Ghost Of You
When I can't sleep at night,
I'd remember the sleepless nights we had in Runnymede
When I can't stop the tears,
I'd remember the day we cried our balls out at the Egham station
But all these memories fade away
and the ghost of you is turning away
and I follow you
I try to catch you
You are fading away
I call you
I keep calling you
but the shadow of the girl is melting in the spring daylight
When I light my fag at the veranda,
it feels as if everyone would come out and join me
When I make some tea at the kitchen,
it feels as if everyone would come in and join me
But all these memories fade away
and the ghost of you is turning away
and I follow you
I try to catch you
You are fading away
I call you
I keep calling you
but the shadow of the girl is melting in the spring daylight
When I can't sleep at night,
I'd remember the sleepless nights we had in Runnymede
When I can't stop the tears,
I'd remember the day we cried our balls out at the Egham station
But all these memories fade away
and the ghost of you is turning away
and I follow you
I try to catch you
You are fading away
I call you
I keep calling you
but the shadow of the girl is melting in the spring daylight
When I light my fag at the veranda,
it feels as if everyone would come out and join me
When I make some tea at the kitchen,
it feels as if everyone would come in and join me
But all these memories fade away
and the ghost of you is turning away
and I follow you
I try to catch you
You are fading away
I call you
I keep calling you
but the shadow of the girl is melting in the spring daylight

Another great pop/rock song from you JH. You have such a great way
with this type of song. I'm listening through my iMac speakers (my
headphones are being repaired), but the mix still sounds good - love
the guitar break and the soft ending. I'll come back next week when I
can hear it properly. Very nice. Neil
