Description
This is the song I wrote for my friend who I've known for 10 years. Now she turned 30. I am 31. Looking back the day I first met her in England, the idea of this song came up.
Happy Birthday, Yayoi!!

Lyrics
Ghost Of You

When I can't sleep at night,
I'd remember the sleepless nights we had in Runnymede
When I can't stop the tears,
I'd remember the day we cried our balls out at the Egham station

But all these memories fade away
and the ghost of you is turning away

and I follow you
I try to catch you
You are fading away
I call you
I keep calling you
but the shadow of the girl is melting in the spring daylight

When I light my fag at the veranda,
it feels as if everyone would come out and join me
When I make some tea at the kitchen,
it feels as if everyone would come in and join me

But all these memories fade away
and the ghost of you is turning away

and I follow you
I try to catch you
You are fading away
I call you
I keep calling you
but the shadow of the girl is melting in the spring daylight

Nice mix
Another great pop/rock song from you JH. You have such a great way
with this type of song. I'm listening through my iMac speakers (my
headphones are being repaired), but the mix still sounds good - love
the guitar break and the soft ending. I'll come back next week when I
can hear it properly. Very nice. Neil

Really nice tune
I especially like the lyrics on this one, the chorus is quite catchy. And as
always, I like how you switch back and forth between Japanese and
English. Great guitar as usual. Well produced. I enjoyed it ver much.

hey! thanks for your comment!!
as for the lyrics, i came up with the english part first, but i wanted to sing
this song in japanese because the friend i wrote this song for is japanese.
so, i wrote the rest in japanese. hence the double language.
but im glad that you liked it.

really nice
Overall, this is a great tune. You have some wonderful guitar textures in
there. Really nice layering and variety. Super guitar playing. Really good
job on this, JH. You're really polishing your skills. Much enjoyed.

Invading the periphery of mind
Again, great hooks, great guitar work, wonderfully balanced pop writing.
Really interesting use of noise to create another world, that sense of
obsession that invades the periphery of vision and won't go away. The
only thing about this track I wasn't sold on was the drumming, which was
stiff in my ears, especially during the choruses; I'd have used less bass
drum, more light shuffle snare (like a Steve Winwood track); or maybe it
was just the loop you used in the chorus, which, to me, highlighted that it
was a loop. Still, such a string song, strong track. Man, I love your pop
chops.

awesome!
Jes...this one slows down a bit but it is probably my favorite of your last
three releases. A little sentimental but undoubtedly rock! Guitar textures
are awesome. Downloadable fav. Love the drums and the guitar riffs!
