Description:
The Dadwin Hawkins Singers Version 1 (http://www.macjams.com/song/19593) has the intended, non-comedic ending....
But for those of you who are into rock and roll folklore trivia this is the George Martin outtake ending...
While recording this at the Abbey Road Studios, Sir George Martin caught this ending outtake featuring snowdragon. It will be issued with our anthology release in the year 2018....

I think it is safe to say that the "snow howl" was kind of a joke thing.
Don't know if the DH Singers will reunite or not... probably a long shot.

Here are my sugs. While the message IS all important the band mix
could come forward so that the vocals aren't so exposed. Also
brightening the eq would help define all the vocals out of the mix.
It just seems a shame to include the bass and drums in the band, but
hardly letting them out in the song. Try it and see if it feels good. [ Reply to This ]

Very good suggestions and much appreciated. I already have brought forth the drums and bass in a more recent version (not on macjams), but I haven't tried brightening the eq to creat more distinction in the vocals. Thanks for taking the time to listen and to leave your helpful comments.
