Description:
Dedicated to the memory of a friend.

From those of us who haven't a clue.

Lyrics:
Stay in my heart
You were resigned
This place was cold
How could I know

Please let me know, my friends
When Winter comes, I will not know
What's in your hearts
Please let me know

We rub our eyes
The hour is late
Some random fate
Drove you away

Please let me know, my friends
When Winter comes, I will not know
What's in your hearts
Please let me know

Give sight, I pray
For those who stay
To help the ones
Whose lives are frayed...

Please let me know, my friends
When Winter comes, I will not know
What's in your hearts
Please let me know

Amazingly graceful &mdash 04/02/06 - 10:01:40 PM
I'm so sorry for your loss. I followed your forum thread to here. Your lyrics are beautiful. Your reading here is powerful, loving and incredibly touching. Your grief and disbelief is palpable.

The guitar at the end is a wonderful touch. Did you intend to have it sound like a variation on the first lines of "Amazing Grace?" It brough tears to my eyes.

Thank you for this post.

Thanks for the kind words.

I started with a variation of the quiet melody. As it
turns out, it sounded enough like Amazing Grace that I just converted it. I
thought it seemed appropriate.

for this gem. I empathize with what you must be feeling. Not that long
ago I lost a life long friend to an auto accident. My tribute to him is called
GOOD MAN DOWN. I think it's important to honor our fallen. You, Sir,
have done a magnificent job here. The Amazing grace fade-out is a
beautiful outro. I am tearfully inspired.

Be well!

I listened to "Good Man Down."

Our loss is shadowed by the bonds of friendship. We had our moment! Our
duty is to those left behind.

Thanks for the listen. We express ourselves so that we can see ourselves. We
are different if we keep it inside.

Peace.

to ease someone's grief ..... it does however remind us of how fragile and precious life is .... I am so sorry for your loss - the poem and music are a beautiful tribute ... and very nicely done

Had to come back, as I wasn't in the right mind when I first dropped
in... - This is emotionally deep and it is accompanied appropriately so.
Although I hear your pain, it sounds as though you have been moving
toward some sense of resolve, and the sound-bed that you've created
is truly supporting these words of expression - I hope that the
movement continues for you and in away that feels right - At 45. I have
yet to lose anyone close to me, isn't that odd - I'm a loner, but not that
much... Anyways, I did d/l this, as I am sure that a time and place is
making a need for it - Thank you - Dion

Thank you for the deep thought words.

I own a small business out of my home. My spouse and I are the only ones in
our office. I do miss socializing. But I try to make up for it from time to time
with different community groups, children's school families, church, book
groups, coaching various teams and so on.

It is always difficult to lose someone from The Community.

I hope that you find depth in Community! I am not as chummy as some at
MacJams, not out of choice. I think that there are so many here, one has to
actively and directly build personal communications. I just don't have the
time to pursue it, in general. But I really feel part of the group, as I believe
you are!

Peace to you Friend,
Doug

Not an addition, but in parallel.(lovely, heartfelt)
When next you come
Cross paths with me
I'll hold you close
Because I'll see
That I was here
To help that way
To hold you close
To help you stay
