I’ve been waiting all my life just to tell you yours is a lie
I’ve watched you on television, seen your birth and seen you cry
But now it’s likely
You could spite me
Never was on time anyway
That was yours and mine… always
Lights are falling from the sky and you don’t even know why
You wake up your father’s gone and plots dictate when he’ll arrive
I hope the muses stay decisions of who will live and who will die
Dad comes back the marriage lacks and all you think of is an island
But now it’s likely
You could spite me
Never was on time anyway
That was yours and mine… always
Lost at sea your vitamin D supplements the real sun
Unos pro omnibus, omnes pro uno
Maybe we’re all just characters prisoners sail off into the setting
and resetting sun, On the Santa Maria
I’ve been waiting all my life just to tell you yours is a lie
I’ve watched you on television seen your birth and seen you die
But now it’s likely
You could spite me
Never was on time anyway
That was yours and mine… always

I don't care for the mix...vocals are too far back. I would also like to hear a little more work with the guitar sounds...they don't blend as well as they could. All that said...I LOVE THIS SONG. Seriously, you guys have something here. Why it would be easy to say you're just following the current stripped-down rock trend, you do it well. This song should get you noticed, and a good engineer and producer could put you on top of the world. I'm going to listen to the other tune you've posted. Good luck, guys. You've got something special.
