Description:
When I posted the instrumental version of this, I said I didn't have lyrics that I was happy with, yet. Roxylee came up with these lyrics and sang them. They have just the feel I was thinking of. This is my first collaboration. It's fun.

Lyrics:
Walking out in the morning sunlight
Shining down on me
Birds are singing and I'm so happy
and feeling free
Come and walk with me
Hold my hand
Everything is new
Ain't love grand!

You came into my life so easy
I wasn't looking for you
Now every day I just want you near me
You feel the same way, too

Come and walk with me
Hold my hand
Ain't love grand!

Grand....
Shining, shining down on me
Love

Woohoo, you go girls! &mdash 04/06/06 - 04:51:52 PM
Just EXACTLY what I needed today, a pick-me-up tune! I have two minor
wishes, that the "bloop"-drum (what is that called?) wasn't so far off to the
left, it wanted to be close to center in my brain, and that the song was
longer, it was over too soon! Very nice tune, great orchestration, and
sheesh Roxylee, such nice singing & harmony, as always. Nice lyrics too, I
"W"onder who you might be singing about, hmm? (EG). Thanks you two,
I'm smiling again!
ttfn,
Drakonis

UP! &mdash 04/06/06 - 05:40:31 PM
A very up-feeling song! Lots of fun. I'm never a fan of doubling the vocal
line in another instrument, except for some spots here and there; for me,
anyway, it's one of those techniques where a little goes a long way. But I
see this started as an instrumental, so I understand why that doubling
occurs. Thanks for this.

WOW! &mdash 04/07/06 - 07:39:46 AM
This is just terrific! Welcome, Kristy, to the world of collaboration. You
could not have done better by picking Roxylee for your first collab. I could
listen to her all day long. :-)

God bless you both,

Rick

Feel good all the way &mdash 04/07/06 - 11:29:15 AM
Definitely a great way to get the weekend rolling. A great peppy, bouncy,
happy feel good tune. The lyrics are perfect for the feel of the music and
the vocals are great. Nice work you two.

I liked the original a lot... &mdash 04/08/06 - 01:28:20 PM
but THIS version is over the top wonderful. Roxylee perfectly captures the
spirit of this fine piece both lyrically and vocally. Again, my one complaint
is that it's too short. Apart from that "ain't [collabs] grand"?

Be well!

A heaping dose of what I needed... &mdash 04/09/06 - 01:21:04 AM
I don't hear the birds that are trying to sing to me often enough, but
know that they're always trying to get ma attention - It's usually after
my cat start's in w/ her maniacal, and bird-like cackling, that I'm
looking to see what has entranced her so... - But they just keep on
singing, and my kitty ads nothing of value... Singing birds, and birds
that might be singing to me, or anyone, is a nice thing to think about
and certainly, I'm enjoying this very uplifting little ditty that you guys
have rounded up. It kinda sounds like this was meant to be... And I
imagine that these nice clean harmonies are what the feathered friends
are trying for... - Shining love, aww,,, - This is nice, light, pleasant and
from upon high...

Okay Kristyjo, thanks for letting me get away w/ my fade-out last
week, because as I can hear in this, you, and or the both of you were
one wiser... This was really a delightful treat - And I was able to know
this even as I'm having a moment of the funkies...- Nice job; both of
you. - Thanks - Dion

I'm glad this tune cut through the 'funkies' and sounded happy. I think
Roxylee's vocals sound like she knows what she's singing about, and I'm glad
she decided to jump in on this one.

Happy song... that ends so quickly &mdash 04/19/06 - 09:34:34 AM
Upbeat and innocent and fun. Just the right tune to cut through all the gray clouds in the sky here in Vancouver, BC. But then it's over.

May I suggest that you simply repeat the entire song again in the mix, and then beef up the ending a little. Double the length. A little bit of cheating, but this song can handle it. Repeating all the lyrics over would just reinforce the sunny nature of the piece.

But really fun stuff!

Good song here &mdash 05/02/06 - 08:17:09 PM
moves well right thru... I really dug the log drum choice instead of the
obvious drum kit.... and when Roxy moves into minor vox in the bridge
section... well contructed... great vox here Roxy
